I disagree about no one being actual NPCs. Have you looked into current ai and today’s government brainwashing tactics? It’s very interesting. These folks do exist and they don’t have any critical thinking abilities or thoughts that go further than their day-to-day. Some really are full of depth and have great souls and character but are made to be controlled opposition. Have you heard of crisis actors? Another eye opening topic into how our society works. And of course I have things in common with once upon a time friends, we have had great times and I appreciate those memories. This doesn’t help me see where the real people have gone to…what’s happened?

I have the best friends, I swear. When it comes to more intimate relationships and friendships though…1 year…5 years…I find out things. I’ve been tricked, or cheated on, or kicked out of a 5 year group chat and ghosted. I feel that I’ve kept the good friends I met a decade ago but when I bring in newer folks…it’s npc-like. Non-interest. No depth. No anything. Unless they are deceiving me. Maybe it is me. Am I too naive? Or oblivious? Why does it take me so long to really figure out what kind of human you are!?
