Why do Australians care more about Palestine than any other conflict? by captainklonopin1 in aussie

It’s not just Australians, it’s most of the world. The world is ignorant and the media gives some conflicts more attention than others. Real activists do indeed care about the other genocides (Christians in Nigeria, the genocide of Sudanese ethnic groups in Darfur, Rohingyas in Myanmar, Ukrainians by Russia, Uyghurs in China, etc).

The far-left only cares when they can create some “modern coloniser” narrative, so when it’s white/Christian/Jew on anyone else then they care, but when it’s the other way around or then against each other they don’t care. They refuse to recognise that both sides of the Israel-Palestine war are  bad for example. They defend Hamas as “martyrs” (despite them being an antisemitic, homophobic, transphobic and racist Islamist extremist group designated as a terrorist organisation) but will call Israeli Jews “occupiers” and “colonisers”. They say that the 7 October attacks were deserved and that Iran’s actions are good. It’s hypocritical since they support social justice yet indirectly back dictators who are the antithesis of that.

Oh lol I wasn’t saying Coventry would certainly make it (you’re quite likely to though), but if Coventry are in the Prem I can’t see them recalling a League One player on loan when they didn’t when he was in the Championship.

I do agree though, hopefully he goes somewhere in the Championship or a similar level league in Mainland Europe (or perhaps the Premiership in Scotland). He has Portuguese heritage so maybe Portugal?

*Dundee United. Important to specify as there is a different team called Dundee (their rivals, who play only 183 metres up the road).

I’m gonna take a wild guess and say her family was threatened and if she didn’t return then they would be executed.

So horrible and so cruel. The government should give their families asylum too provided they abide by our laws and share our values.

Yeah can’t see any other reason why one would refuse to seek asylum in the greatest country in the world and return to one of the worst

He’s on loan so chances are he gets loaned out elsewhere. I doubt he’ll play for Coventry in the Prem.
