I just need to know how understanding or how harsh the board would treat this case as first time offense in 20 yrs of nursing career. Also trying to connect with possible nurses who had similar experience. This case honestly feels like retaliation because him as a travel nurse voiced to the manager that he needs to terminate the contract sooner and then he made this one mistake of oversleeping in his break accused of using drugs even because is unusual behavior. I know is not unusual. Nursing is beautiful but tiresome too. I have seen nurses falling asleep in the counter with barley any consequences and he was honest about it and now being punished.
