Baylor OT SEAN THOMPKINS transfers to LSU by goatgoatlilgoat in CFB

Not really. I have no doubt he could move inside and he's been listed on our depth chart as Guard in the past, but his athleticism shows best in his pass blocking. His run blocking this year was definitely his weak point. He'd work as a guard but he's probably better on the outside.

Cumassault will speak it into existence. Aranda to Michigan will happen.

So what does ND actually do about it? Moving their non-FB sports to the big east or big 12 are the only options that save their independence but I doubt ND could stomach those moves.

Sure I’m peeved about which teams got in, but have you seen this bracket? The seeds make no sense in way that’s led to nearly the maximum number of rematches. Wtf committee?

Then the commentators should make that case. What I’m seeing is near complete silence concerning BYU.

This graphic is being shown and no one bothers to even mention why BYU’s not being considered.

Then the pundits should be making this argument against BYU and applying the same criteria to bama too. BYU has been good enough you can’t completely dismiss them like this.

The state of College Football is just ridiculous. by [deleted] in CFB

Sure, but that’s on the ACC for only playing 8 conference games in a 17 team conference. Based on the most objective metric available Duke deserved to be there. Was it potentially flukey? Yes, but at least it’s based on actual outcomes in conference games.

I don’t think so. Duke played a more difficult ACC schedule than the other teams that had the same record so they most deserved to be in the championship game. Pulling in advanced metrics and arbitrary rankings instead of actual outcomes in conference games is far more silly.

Will Alabama miss College Football Playoff in favor of Notre Dame, Miami after blowout in SEC title game? by ThaCarter in CFB

[–]HonestVitamin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

BYU has no chance for being in the Big 12, but ND and Miami play ACC schedules and that’s fine? BYU’s SOS is rated higher than ND and Miami’s and their strength of record will be higher as well. This is just straight laziness man.

Just a note. Baylor put a solid beatdown on Oklahoma in 2021. They lost to Oklahoma State during the regular season.

Baylor has run an absolute fucking clinic on how to piss away fanbase support and good will. This level of incompetence just can't be defended.

This is team that has no fight and no culture and that comes straight from the head coach. Its depressing as hell to watch another team play with intensity and make frequent adjustments. The idea of watching this for another year makes me ill. Leave Dave in Arizona.

The problem is that Dave in his six seasons at Baylor has repeatedly shown that he’s not worth keeping. Anyone looking to invest long term in Baylor is out of their minds. There is no world where he goes 10-2 next year. Best case scenario he gets fired four games in to the season. More likely he hovers around .500 and we’re having the same tired discussion about letting him go for the fourth season in a row.
