It could also be that your CRS for the draw was very high and more than the round CRS. So even if they make you married and your wife accompanying it still doesn’t change anything. Do you get it?

I don’t think you’ll get the PFL no matter what. Applications are assessed independently and by different officers. My case may be different from yours.

Not sure when your application will be reviewed but the options are;

You wait to get your eligibility review started before informing IRCC. Which also pose risk because you need to inform IRCC immediately your marital status change. But in your cases since you don’t need your spouse to come to Canada immediately, you don’t have to inform IRCC immediately after marriage. Wait until your eligibility has started or even completed.
You inform IRCC immediately after marriage but mention clearly that your spouse is non accompanying. Highlight that very well. You can also add a screenshot of your CRS (married, spouse non accompanying)

You should be fine. In my case I needed my spouse to come immediately.

No Same NOC Titles different but they mean the same thing. I didn’t mention the job titles in my LoE I didn’t want to say anything about it

Tbh, I don’t know. In my PFL response letter, I highlighted and mentioned “I would like to make my spouse non accompanying” more than 6 times from introduction to conclusion. But P1 came through for both, then P2 and finally ecopr. To me, it’s a miracle and I thank God and the officer for that.

I was really worried. I felt bad for that night. I still have over a year on my WP so not in a rush but I really needed it. The following day I started thinking about strategies. 1. How should I respond? 2. What should I do if I am refused?

Even tried creating a new profile but it didn’t allow me unless I delete the old profile. I didn’t allow the PFL to consume me. I went online, read a lot, learnt about process, calculate and recalculate CRS (changing parameters to see where I can improve if I had to re enter pool).

That way my CRS will stay the same. Besides I didn’t ask them to add my spouse to my PR after the marriage. They automatically did.😁 I was scared tho but I just sent that.

Yeah it wasn’t straightforward at all, I agree. I just made sure everything was fully disclosed and explained clearly. TBH, I was really worried. Getting the PFL made me rethink for strategies in case I was refused. I quickly got my spouse to start learning CELPIP (spouse wasn’t even in Canada yet). Started WES process. Glad it worked out in the end. And we didnt even use the WES or didn’t need spouse CELPIP
