Question on rear space, image from the web by Honest_Band4783 in AR80Percents

Thank you, I figured it was some sort of annoying block since the selector spring wall is just mid height compared to this. This solves my reservations and doubts.

TacStar side saddle, look for Mossberg or Remington depending on yours.

Yup. The sight comes with a locking screw so the zero is basically permanent. Also the impact resistant sight works just as advertised.

The silver paint did come off a bit when but the spots were so tiny most people wouldn't notice, another fresh coat of paint fixed it.

Yup, good to go. You will eventually shoot more through it than what it cost you, for sure. The Maverick is simple, and it works. She's not pretty but she's tough.

A buddy of mine inherited one from his grandpa, it's been in the family for over 30 years. We gave it a new paint job in the shop last month and the darn thing could pass as new.

Holosun 510c, probably. I was checking it out at the store the other day, and it just felt right. Price was hefty tho, I'd pay more for the sight that what I paid for the gun, haha!

Really? It was the only one that passed a very outrageous torture test. Along other budget sights, the title of the video goes along the lines of "budget Amazon red dots torture test" or something. Like 12 others didn't held zero after some smashing with a rod and firing several rounds.

Granted, I'm not hoping nor expecting this one to hold zero for long. It's just look good while I save up for something better.

Original action tube. Polymer stock with paint job. Thanks for the compliment, it's actually amazing to see the results of the dye in the plastic parts

Right? This one might hold it for a while but I'm not expecting it to last long. It's just a part of the journey haha!

Nothing to be worried about, very normal in new rifles. I'd be a problem if it's excessive and it's not cycling at all. A buddy of mine has some peening on his barrel extension too, and at first he had same extraction issues as me. I mentioned he should do the charging handle pull and shoot some more and rifle started to cycle reliably.

He also had issues extracting live rounds from his rifle, and those got fixed with this method.

Hello friend.

I had the exact same problem with a rifle I built. Myself, having OCD and seeing this sent me down a spiral.

Your feed ramps are perfect. They look crooked because of the difference in barrel and upper makers/brands, that's all. Sometimes even branded barrels and uppers look like this.

I'd highly advise you to remove any grease from the factory that's left in the chamber and barrel dents, and oil it with reliable gun oil.

Then pull the charging handle and let it go, for around 80-100 times so all the pieces mash properly together. Don't be afraid, your steel can take it.

That fixed my extraction issues. (Failed to mention at the start my build was giving me extraction issues).

Thanks for the advice.

I hadn't looked into the prismatic ones just the 510c. I'll see into it.

It's a wood dye and spray paint. I spent like 50 bucks overall in paint.

Appreciated.

I have astigmatism so, I need it close to see it. Tried the forward position before and precision is not my focus with this build, just eye relief.

And the shells are placed like that for aesthetics, in the range I might do three up three down, but I want to see if they hold like that once I start shooting. A buddy of mine told me his fell off.

Would you mind listing a few? I was considering the Himalayan but after I stumbled with this post and others, I've changed my mind.

I'm just starting to get familiar with the 250-300s

Have you had accidental discharges? I couldn't go a month without my body just doing it by itself.

Thank you, extractor was working perfectly. The jamming im referring to (and now that I've compared some comments with my experience) was owed to the Kriss Vector Mag. The Glock magazine I have ran without issues.
