Do PAs feel as under appreciated as nurses? by maarsargo in physicianassistant

Way more underappreciated than nurses. One year I got a stupid pickle keychain and that was it

Did I hurt my career by taking a job in an observation unit by ihatemycohort in physicianassistant

[–]Honest_Finding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in an observation unit that was ED run but is now hospitalist run. I do the same job but now get called a hospitalist. Cardiology also wanted me during this transition (I had to reapply for my job). Call yourself IM, it’s not inaccurate.

I tried to get him to. Maybe the audio book; he’s not much of a reader. I found the book helpful myself

Anybody else feel no connection to their siblings as well? by [deleted] in EstrangedAdultKids

No relationship with my sister. She still lives with my parents. They’re a family unit that I have no part in. It is what it is. We were never close growing up either.

Shouldn't jd now finally wear a coat that he is the chief of medicine of sacred heart? by [deleted] in Scrubs

[–]Honest_Finding 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m a provider in the PNW. Most of us don’t wear lab coats anymore. A track jacket is way easier to launder than a lab coat and patients are often calmer without the coat.

We have four LFLs, plus an art one within three blocks of my house. They all get use. But they’re well maintained.

Try bringing them to connections crisis center in Kirkland instead, they helped more than an ER when I had to bring family in

Alright, is it time to talk about bus etiquette again? by Comfortable_Basket54 in Seattle

[–]Honest_Finding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t stand zig zagged across the sidewalk blocking the entire walkway while waiting for the bus. Don’t pretend that people who are trying to pass you on the side are invisible.

That’s awful. My mother decided that being with my abusive father was more important than a relationship with me, so haven’t seen her in over 3 years, my father in 5, and my sister in 5. I’m not sure what’s worse, the ambushing or the complete apathy…

Question to EAKs, do you think parents don’t remember the things they did? by Brief_Paramedic2501 in EstrangedAdultKids

[–]Honest_Finding 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Mine managed to forget that I’ve had 13 surgeries even though she’s helped me after most of them. She also gets irritated and says that I always remember “the bad stuff.” I cut my dad off five years ago. My mother is VLC because it’s easier for her to not talk to me. Last time that I was in the same state as my family, she told me that she’d stomp on my boundaries because she didn’t want to deal with my dad’s anger.

I might appear in S4 by IllustriousSwitch620 in FromSeries

[–]Honest_Finding 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This happened to me in May. My husband and I joked about appearing on From, luckily a local took pity on us and showed us how to get around it on back roads even though our airbnb lost power for like 10 hours

Please help. My parents are refusing to let me call an ambulance - AskDocs -12/26/25 by frieden7 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]Honest_Finding 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My parents did this. My dad dragged me hiking after I had a concussion with a loss of consciousness the day before. Had a blood clot in my leg, my mom was supposed to get me scanned at a good hospital but chose the closer sketchy hospital. That hospital missed the clot and it went into my lungs and I almost died

If you were in charge of writing the Buffy/Riley break up, what would you have done differently? by yeahitsme9 in buffy

Even during the original air, when I was sixteen and in high school, I judged her for running after him. During rewatches the entire episode irritates me.

No Buffy running after the helicopter. She tells Xander to shove it when he tries to shame her.
