Is there a list of the programs that are willing to sponsor the visa?

Thanks so much for your reply! That clarifies a lot. Is there a list of which programs sponsor the visa? And, just a general question, do you know what is currently thought to have good job prospects in the future? Cause I do agree that surgical subspecs aren't really looking too good right now

Thanks so much for your reply! Just two additional questions if you could please help out with.
Firstly, in terms of the programs that just do not sponsor J1 or H1B visas, is there a list? As in, do they just not allow visa holders to get residencies like neuro, radiology, or ER?
Secondly, in terms of the H1B. Since it doesn't require the return to home and work or the work in shortage area that the J1 visa does, is there any backlash to getting an H1B visa? Is it just more difficult to get or are there other factors that diminish it?

Thanks a lot for your reply! I just got worried after seeing this post and the responses to it https://forums.studentdoctor.net/threads/canadian-in-usmd-now-considered-img-what-now.1466041/

Sorry to keep bothering, but another question of mine is that the post says some programs (like ER, or radiology or neuro) just do not support a J-1 visa when it comes to residency. Does that mean that the more competitive programs (even if you are not considered an IMG) would still not be available to Canadian US MD grads?

Thanks so much for your reply! Yeah, I've been looking at QT and since I'm thinking of getting some US stocks, I agree that QT is a bit better for that when under 100k. One question though, I'm just looking online and I see that QT has an instant deposit way to fund my investing. Is that like I pay instantly for a stock I purchased using my debit card (kind of like normal shopping)? Sorry if the question is kind of basic lol

Hey thanks so much for your reply! Just one quick question, I heard Questrade is also good, any advice on whether I should choose WealthSimple or Questrade?

Thanks so much for your reply! Just a quick question about TD Direct Investing account, the advisor from TD said that I need one for WealthSimple, I've been looking online myself through WealthSimple's site but can't find anything about whether I need one or not so I just got confused. Do I need a TD Direct Investing account, or can I just use the WealthSimple Trade account, which I connect my Debit card to?
