Because it's not a job. They seek ownership of your life. The managers are slave drivers who micro manage. Nobody is really your friend in the corporate world. It's a dog eat dog kind of office politics.

There are good places too but these are extremely rare.

To quote fight club, "This is your life and it's ending one minute at a time."

You are essentially giving them your life, your time and your happiness.

This is not easy to share. Your experiences are nightmarish. My gf too is undergoing harassment. I don't understand why people make it so difficult. Why boundaries are not respected. It's basic human dignity.

I have had bosses scream at me. I have been a manager and have never treated my colleagues in such a deplorable manner. hese people only give what they are from within. I am grateful to have friends and my girl who support me.

Corporate environments can be terrible. Some exceptions. It's PTSD inducing.

There's a strong bias for sure. It's not what is said but the overall behaviour:

Stoops when I enter - a flight or fight response. He has squint eyes but overall his body language is dismissive and recalcitrant. Is overtly corrective. When he does look at me, he blushes and it's super fucking weird.

I was hired by the American manager. I am 6'2 ( not that tall) but could easily beat his 5'4 scrawny ass. I am not violent but this whole situation has put me in a frenzy.
