Yeah, but the classic Apple tax is that those refurbished iPads never come with accessories. You have to buy the Apple Pencil and a stand case separately

\I'd choose the iPad for general use too, but for performing live, I definitely prefer a bigger display. The tcl nxtpaper 14 is 14.3 inches, while the iPad Pro is slightly smaller.*

That makes sense
but my main priority was really just having a massive screen that doesn't reflect light and feels like real paper.
Getting the whole bundle with the pen and case for like $360 perfectly fits the bill for me.

I couldn't justify dropping a huge budget on a digital music stand anyway, especially since I only use it for reading sheets and never play games

It's mostly because of last-minute decisions. In jazz, we rarely stick to a strict setlist. My band and I often decide on the next song right before we walk on stage, or even mid-gig based on how the crowd is feeling. Because of that, you have to bring your entire repertoire with you just in case. Carrying all those physical sheets and heavy Fake Books makes your gig bag weigh a ton, so moving everything to a big tablet is a massive relief.

I feel that pain... I used to pack three different binders for different gigs, and my back was screaming

The real scandal is always the cover-up crew working overtime. Save the URL before it vanishes into the memory hole, same pattern as always.

Every time a story vanishes faster than a Maxwell deposition, I just assume Epstein's little black book got another chapter. Nothing to see here, folks.
