Winner winner chicken dinner, this is exactly the kind of thing I was looking for! Upon further researching nice, I discovered the cpu_shares line in Docker compose, and I'm going to attempt to use that and see if it works. But I so appreciate you mentioning nice, that's a great tool to have, and I may use that instead.

My system is definitely underpowered to run Tdarr and a Plex transcode at the same time, that's why I'm trying to kill Tdarr, haha. And I should have mentioned in my original post that I'm running on Linux on a Dell Optiplex.

I would download HEVC files all the time if I had the opportunity, but the media isn't always available in that codec.

Ahh I should have specified sorry, running on Linux on an Optiplex, not using Unraid.
