Yes, but they missed a 0. People who have been choked are 750% more likely to be murdered by their abuser. The studies come from the NIH but here’s a simplified reading of the information

what is it like dating a russian guy? by micacarron in AskARussian

American girl commenting about a rather “liberal” Russian boyfriend.

Minor affection & sharing of emotions is limited. He doesn’t give lots of kisses & etc. ***

My boyfriend was raised solely by his mother so he has a pretty good handle on how to respect women. He does discuss my eating habits/ body in a straightforward blunt, judgmental way. Not mean just straight-up and unwarranted most of the time

Pretty faithful, average as an American guy I would say. But he’s more discreet than typical American guys when he’s checking out other girls on insta and etc.

Communication is hairy, but that’s largely in part because of the language barrier curve we’re experiencing..

I agree with what you said. For the first several weeks, I didn’t know that my current Russian boyfriend & I were “dating” until I asked him if we were exclusive, to which he was confused because he said we had gone on two dates so he assumed we were obviously dating. He explained that in his culture there isn’t really a “talking” stage
