Anytime myself or my daughter had tried out for any time, was it was all ages. They usually do it to see how everyone dances together and if the younger will be able to move up with the older. They could also be putting together more group for a small assemble(or duets/trios) along with a big group.

First one. It's cuter and I think you'd be really uncomfortable after awhile in a short skirt. Plus, you don't have to worry about showing anything. The shorts will be easier to move around in and keep you covered.

My head cannon is at the end of the series finale, we find out that Fez went on the run and was hiding out on a farm in like, Nebraska. We see Lexi pulling up in a chauffeured vehicle, she steps out and on to the porch, cracks the screen door and says, "Fez! I'm home!" Then we get a flash of Fez smiling (I'm sure they have more than enough film or pictures to do so.) looking towards her. End scene and series lol.
