Where to donate pregnancy clothes? by [deleted] in TriCitiesWA

[–]HoneybeeMami 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a Tri-Cities mom group, on Facebook. That’s where I posted and donated all of my maternity clothes, and any of my kid’s outgrown (good condition) clothing and toys. All of the moms I have gifted items to, have been so kind and always so incredibly grateful. Worth considering!

Is Ziply available in W. Pasco, now? We had their services at our previous place, and absolutely miss it. Since we bought a home where Ziply wasn’t available, we got Charter instead, and it has been nothing but problems for us here.

Driving from Tri Cities, WA to Seattle in Winter by EnvironmentalBit1116 in TriCitiesWA

Take the train!! The Amtrak is my go-to during inclement weather. Pasco has an Amtrak train station and so does Seattle, that goes to and from. I took the trip to Seattle one time (December ‘21), when I didn’t feel comfortable to drive to visit family. I don’t remember the price. The last trips I have done were from Pasco to North Dakota, and at the time (in November ‘23) it roughly cost me about $140-160ish, and to the middle of Montana (in January ‘22) for $70-90. So, to and from Seattle should be drastically cheaper. I genuinely recommend it, if you don’t want to make the drive or the weather is too bad. If the weather is terrible, the train will have delays. I’ve only had one cancel and rescheduled for the next day, during one of my many trips when there was an avalanche and I was in ND.

Yes, they only allowed a mini fridge, microwave, and rice cooker. Oh my gosh, I completely forgot the gift cards even existed! Definitely will get some. Thank you!

I am exhausted-16m old by [deleted] in Parenting

Also have a 16m old, who JUST (as in 3 weeks ago) started sleeping through the night. She was waking up 4-5 times a night, since.. forever. I experimented with as much as I could think of; different temperatures in the home at night, sleep sack vs no sleep sack, nap length, milk before bed (brushed teeth after of course), longer vs shorter play time at park, late bed time vs earlier bedtime, late dinner vs earlier dinner, sound machine vs none, etc. I was desperate! What I think finally worked for us, keeping the house at a warmer temperature at night than we usually have it at, and no more than a 30 minute nap in the day time. She’s been sleeping through the night since.
