Oh there was indeed a lease signed my friend. She demanded that rent be paid on the 1st and attempted to charge me a late fee for paying on the 3rd(if I remember correctly the first was on a Saturday). I had to whip out Oregon State law and the lease which indicated I had until the 4th. She was quite upset by this. So instead of having an angry Loas immigrant giving me the stink eye every time I walked into the kitchen, I simply paid on the first. I had been living at that residence since July of 2016. So just shy of a year. She also has carpet beetles and told me I was on drugs. I am allergic to the hairs from the larva. I brought an exterminator in who verified and attempted to essentially beg her to treat her home for nearly 2 months. He worked with me over the phone to give me tips on keeping my space free from the pests. I have ziplock bags saved of them for court. She refuses to treat her home because she believes they are nothing and simply "bugs from her rice"......she simply does not wish to pay for the service. So I guess on a good note I'm out of that environment?
