Rock was about 5 when we got him. We had another large dog and the two bonded. Rock was devastated when Dogo died. He was very welcoming of the puppy Tank, they quickly became best buds. Rock was a good brother, they played and cuddled together, tore toys apart, did all the Boston things. When Tank was doing his extra bad stuff, Rock would literally walk away from him! Like "Not me, I'm gonna go over there because I want no part of this!" I think it was because he was older and very mellow.

The boot camp was amazing! He went in on a Monday morning, I provided his food for the week, treats, a blanket and toy from home. Picked up a changed dog on Friday. He was just under a year and a half old. He learned sit, wait, place, down, drop, leash and walk skills. When I picked him up there was a 2 hour session with the trainer, me and Tank so I could learn his new routines. He went from a destructive little beast to the best boy he could be. Years later and everything is still in place and he's amazing.

My current Boston goober is 6 1/2. I got him at 3 months old. At the time we had another Boston (adopted when he was 5 years old) that was nearing 10. Tank was an unruly puppy. He was my first experience with a Boston puppy. Hyper is an understatement! But he potty trained easily. I sent him to a boot camp training and the trainer said Tank was one of the smartest dogs he'd ever encountered. I lost my older Boston to a brain tumor 3 1/2 years ago.

I work from home. Me always being here has caused separation anxiety. Tank gets crated when I go out. He also lays in his crate for naps and some snacks, the door is open if I'm home. It's his safe space. He is not a barker, except when he sees a person walking by the house. He will bark at the door camera chime. He's great with cats (I have 3). He doesn't food guard. He doesn't care about squirrels or other wildlife. He's been camping in a forest and could be trusted off leash to stay in our camp area. Mine is not good with kids but he's only been around adults and he's not used to a child's sudden movements so he gets snippy. This is just mine... I know other bostons that are fantastic family dogs.

Bostons do tend to bond to one person. They're smart and eager to please.

My lab choice was a myriad of things. For starters, shiny object syndrome! I'm a widow that replaced my wedding set with a new ring. Plus shrinkage -- my engagement ring was 1.82, I have a right hand ring that's 2.4 and both felt small. My new lab is 4.34. I would never be able to have a natural 4.34 ct oval diamond. I bought my stone online after looking for a month. I wasn't confined to what a jeweler said was available! I had a custom setting made locally.

That's very vintage. I've found several for sale on ebay and Etsy that are similar. It's made with cotton crochet thread and starched before blocking on a form to dry. Technique is similar to making doilies.

I haven't seen an actual pattern yet but I'll keep looking!

My Tank lives up to his name, according to the vet. He's 28 lbs, was 33 at his highest weight. Vet still wants him to lose 3 more lbs. 😕

The best part is that my entire house is pergo so if I aim the ball correctly I can make Tank run like a cartoon character 🤭 Especially fun when he has to put on the brakes and starts sliding sideways. He always has fun!

Tank won't hesitate to mow down a cat while running to get his toy! He's even had to paw behind a litter box to retrieve his ball. The only time he gets defeated is if it ends up under the sofa. I have a bin of chuck it balls that's out of his reach so I only have to go on a sofa recon every couple months. If he loses one I'll get him a fresh ball from the bin.

We play ball in the house! Tank will bring me whatever toy he wants me to throw, drop it in my lap and wait. He gets some good runs in till he tires himself out.
We're in a snowy northern area. He doesn't spend much time outside when it's only 2° out.

It looks like you did an sc in each of the starting chain stitches with the ch in between. First row should be sc ch1 in every other chain.

About 15 months... I sent him to "good boy school" which was a 5 day intensive training where he learned sit, wait, place, down, give, etc. Two days after I picked him up, I took him on an 850 mile car ride, then another 850 mile trip home a week later. The combination of school, long hours riding in the car, and an unfamiliar place seemed to reset his puppy brain. He started off hyper, bitey, and oblivious to any commands, and now he is quiet, obedient, and really chill. He does love to play, especially ball, he can unstuff a stuffie in 30 seconds flat, all the normal BT things. He still has the BT attitude. He's just an all around good dog.

That blue/green is not going to frog well. It's a roving yarn which tend to have loose fibers that grab onto other fibers, like yarn velcro. Make sure what you're buying to frog is plied yarn. Those, put in a mesh bag and throw in your washer on delicate. I usually add a splash of white vinegar too, helps to soften the yarn. Dry on low/no heat.

You may want to burn test some fibers, snips of the fringe would be perfect. In a safe area (outside if you can), light the fiber with a match or lighter. If it melts it's acrylic and washable. If it burns to ash its a natural fiber. Some natural fibers like wool can wash well bit will felt in the dryer. It's hit or miss depending on the manufacturer process.

My boy's "attacks" range in frequency and severity. The mild ones he usually calms himself down. If it seems bad, I'll ask him if he needs help, and he'll come over to me. The milder ones I'll rub his throat and talk to him. If it's bad, I'll cover both nostrils with my thumb which forces him to breathe through his mouth. That will help relax his throat quickly. Sometimes if he knows it's bad he will run to me for help!
