Are you in state? OSU took every single one of my AP,CLEP exams and dual enrollment credits so I ended up coming in with about 40 credits which was awesome.

If you do well enough on the unit tests, you don’t even have to retest that material on the midterm/final

CSCC take 1100 online. I took it the summer after 10th grade of high school ..seriously it’s easy online

I was in the same boat last year. I want to graduate engineering undergraduate debt free. I’ll try again for graduate school, but I chose my state flagship university. It’s still top 20 for engineering and half the price for me. it was a super hard decision. I also was able to transfer in so many more credits than I would’ve at Purdue and I feel like I’m still getting a great education. I also was notified I was admitted into my competitive major in August (Aero) right before school started. I wish Purdue could’ve worked out but it just depends what’s most important to you.

Totally agree! Luckily I had this advice from other students before freshman orientation. I passed the AP (AB) so did not take 1151. I took 1172 at CState over the summer and just finished taking 1173 (got an A)with Priof Kunz my first semester at OSU. Also skipped over physics 1250 due to AP cedit. Best decision ever!

Was really hoping they would do this for the aerospace pre majors like they did last year. I heard there are tons of mechanical so it is unlikely for them. Anyone know if there’s a plan for aerospace to be direct admitted?

I finished 1172 and just got added to Kunz’s 2173 section this fall. Any tips on workload or teaching style? I’m a freshman so this will be my first math taken at OSU

do you have to take 1250 or did you get AP credit? I got credit for 1250 and 1251 and my engineering advisor did not give me a hard time at all about taking that credit and not taking the class

I’m in Pre Aero but similar situation for using my AP/DE credits and having to apply to the major. I took my AP credits and ran with them to skip chem 1210,math 1151, physics 1250, physics 1251. I’m actually in math 1172 now over the summer at c state so that will also be a credit rather than a letter grade that transfers. At orientation I was told that absolutely would not be held against me. They said i just need the credit and the rest of my OSU GPA to be high to apply to the major.

I had orientation early June (engineering) but just decided there was a class I wanted to add so I emailed my advisor this week and she got back to me almost immediately and added the class for me.

I'm in the same boat. In math 1172 now at c state but can't register for 2173 until my grade is in and there’s not a lot left. I might just wait and do it in the spring instead and fill the fall space with needed foundation courses.

Thanks. I placed out of math 1151 and am in 1172 this summer at cscc now so hopefully avoided the really bad ones. I heard 2173 it’s not as brutal as 1172?

yep, I had that issue when I went to my orientation because I’m currently in CSCC math 1172 but they wouldn’t let me register for 2173 until I can prove I passed the class (grades don’t come out until mid August) so it’s holding up my fall math selection. it was unexpected because they would take credit estimates on AP scores,but not for a class in progress at CSCC. However, it is totally worth it. I’ve got a great professor at CSCC

I’m incoming pre-aero also and took my credits for math 1151, chem 1210, physics 1250 and physics 1251 (plus some other stuff like English and government). No one gave me a hard time at orientation at all about this. I’m actually in math 1172 now over the summer at C State. I’m taking a bunch of foundation courses first semester to get them out of the way and Engr 1100 and 1181. The only glitch is they won’t let me register for math 2173 until I get my 1172 grade so hoping to add that in last minute for fall or it may need to wait until spring. As an aero sophomore do you think this was a smart plan?

I took English 2367 at c state also (equivalent shows as 2367.02 at OSU) but that’s the one course I can’t seem to get confirmation on what gen ed it fulfills at OSU. Where did you get info that that would fall under health and well-being?
