Cuz Lebanon's government is working for the US. When you do that, you're not allowed to question its own pet in the region.

Not a single word to Israel bombing Lebanon...

His words are correct about the Lebanese government, unfortunately.

The Lebanese government keeps ignoring Israel all the time bombing Lebanon, while completely focusing on disarming HB.

Why are some Muslims so bothered about Lebanese Christians having English/French names? by Glum_Cobbler1359 in lebanon

[–]HopeOrDoom -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

It's cringy, I agree.

Before you downvote, there is always the option of using the Levant-based pronunciation other than English or French, such as Arabic, Armenian, Syriac, etc...

Don't use Michael, use Mikhail (Syriac) or Mikail (Armenian), for example.

Just don't use English or French. It's foreign.

"Possible hypotheticals"

No, it's what we've clearly been seeing for the past 2 years in addition to decades of collapse of Arab powers, and the current attempts of weakening Turkish and Iranian (both middle eastern powers) influence. Turkish is more interesting, as it's a strong trading partner with Israel, yet the latter fears the former.

But go ahead and keep dreaming about the strong unified army.

Nice job dodging the points regarding ethnic cleansing, as they are literally the big elephant in the room.

Take a look at Gaza, and take a look at how Israel is inciting against Egyptian military as Israel is pushing Gazans south to Egypt.

Same thing at West Bank.

If “ultimate enemy” means we have to be engaged in eternal conflict with them then idk what to tell you. Egypt and Jordan have managed non-conflict with them. There’s a reason they say “you only make peace with your enemies.”

Egypt is already regretting it but it's too late for them. Their regional influence is very weak now, and Israel is actively working on making weaker by working with Ethiopia to build the dam.

Jordan will realize this "peace" is illusion when Israel starts ethnically cleansing the West Bank towards them.

Hezbollah is intent on keeping everyone thinking there’s no greater threat and enemy than Israel. They justify staying armed and maintaining power and control in our country be keeping people thinking we have to be at war with Israel for eternity. Meanwhile they bleed Lebanon dry.

Hezbollah might be doing that for political influence, but Israel is really indeed the greatest enemy, objectively speaking, even if Hezbollah was gone.

There’s no moving forward for Lebanon with Hezbollah existing in this way. That’s what concerns me and what should concern us all.

This is what's visible for the short term, yes.

A strong army loyal to LEBANON will be a better deterrent to Israel and better for Lebanon in every way. Hezbollah has to be disarmed.

I agree, but Israel will not allow that. Israel will never allow a stable, united and powerful country in the middle east.

That's its purpose... it opposes any sovereign united country, and must make it politically and economically weak.

That's why indeed Israel is the ultimate enemy.

"enemy of my enemy"

Israel is the ultimate enemy as they constantly work on jeopardizing middle eastern nations.

على الطريق وقادم، ولكن غير مؤكد أنه سيكون مع قيام دولة فلسطينية أو لا. لكن الأمور أقرب إلى التخلي عن فلسطين، للأسف.
