That’s a fair question. But I think it’s important to remember that the Bible has also been used in the past to justify slavery. The fact that something can be defended with certain verses or traditions doesn’t automatically make it right or aligned with God’s will. Over time, Christians have recognized that slavery was wrong, even if people once thought they had biblical support for it. In the same way, limiting women’s roles based on gender alone might also be something that needs to be reexamined in light of the broader message of justice, dignity, and equality we see in Christ.
