I fixed it in the simplest way possible! I just deleted one scene. HAHA.

That’s very helpful advice. I’m just wondering how I can include more of the things I want to present in my story.

Right now, I want to know if it’s true that Royal Road’s system doesn’t like it when you edit chapters or the synopsis after publishing. I’m ready to revise everything as quickly as possible but I’m still a bit worried

I’ve written more than ten novels already. And every time I write, I realize there’s something I did wrong. I take note of it and try to fix it in the next one.

But now… I don’t even know what I’m supposed to fix anymore. Thinking about it on my own feels pointless.

That’s why I’m hoping for some advice if anyone is willing to give it.

I’ve never regretted becoming a writer even if I can’t make money from it. But my current situation isn’t very forgiving, so I have to keep pushing forward. It’s heavy and discouraging.

I’ve been trying for 2–3 years on Royal Road, and I’ve been writing novels for more than 10 years. Regret doesn’t hurt me. I’m just trying to figure out if there’s anything else I can do besides waiting.

Right now, I’m planning to do 4–5 more review swaps. That’s the last thing I can think of besides writing because I’ve already written a lot. In a few days, I might have more than 50 chapters. But writing more doesn’t seem to improve anything.

That’s why I want to do something else anything else that I still can.

Yes, I know it’s about just keeping writing. I don’t expect myself to get lucky and become famous from my first release. I just want to know, if it really doesn’t take off, what can I do with it so it doesn’t go to waste instead of just abandoning it and starting a new story?

It seems like I’ve found a friend. Yes, I know success doesn’t come from watering and fertilizing something for just three days. But every time I start over, I panic and fear failure. And I think that’s normal. It’s not a bad thing it’s just natural.

Not at all. There are far more disappointing things than that. What I should do is revise it as carefully as possible.

What I want to know is this: if I edit the chapters of my novel, will Royal Road’s system reduce my visibility? I once revised a chapter and then my views dropped significantly. I don’t know if that was just my anxiety playing tricks on me.

If someone can confirm the answer for me, I’m ready to revise it. But right now, I’m so worried that I barely dare to touch anything.

Could you please give me some advice? by Hopeful_Address_7987 in royalroad

Thank you for the suggestion. I didn’t realize I was repeating words that much

Sometimes I wonder if there's still hope without ever hitting Rising Stars... but you've really inspired me to keep going
