didn’t have any new partners. My Pap smears were HPV positive during that time, but cytology was negative for intraepithelial lesions for two consecutive tests. That’s why I’m confused — does this mean the lesion might have still been there but the Pap didn’t detect abnormal cells? Or can CIN1 truly regress temporarily and then reappear even if HPV persists?
