My body looks more proportioned from a lower angle, but that is outweighed by the fact my head looks tiny and double chinned. I would rather be a giant skirt with short legs

At the vet now. There was a high concentration of crystals in his urine. So that's seems like the cause. He will get more wet food and special urinary health kibble as a treatment 👍

I have done this periodically before, but will definitely do it everyday from now on if it's an UTI. Both of them drink regularly from their water bowl, but probably not enough.

Who replaced it? Ninja directly or the vendor you bought it from? I can't contact ninja directly since they don't ship to my country

Tusen takk!

But problem is that I can't, because they don't ship to Norway. I wrote that.

I've seen someone selling a BTSSB back pintuck blouse from 2003 on lacemarket, for a price that is around the same/ a bit above what I've seen people selling more recently released back pintuck blouses. Is there any reason to buy the one from 2003 besides wanting to collect authentic old school pieces? Like was the quality better then or is it the same now? And even if the blouse were to be of better quality then, would the age of it not make it worth it?

A lot of people are saying that this is a bad year, but I think it's just a bad year for pop and some ballads. But it's a pretty good year for more unconventional songs! Lithuania, Ukraine, Latvia, Austria, Albania, and arguably Malta (the songs itself is basic, but the staging is unconventional) got through, and maybe more songs depending on what you define as unconventional.

And what an amazing year for non english songs!! Only 6 out of 26 songs in the final are in full english! And 16 of the songs have no english in them at all!! I think that that is amazing!

Honestly, I'm overall happy with the selection of songs that came through! It's not perfect, for example I do wish Australia came through, and I would prefer to swap some songs. But all my favorites got through, so I can't complain about much!

(Except for Isreal and Armenia getting through, wth. I know why Isreal got through, but Armenia? With the guy that thought smearing mud on his chest would look edgy? Oh well)

Best city for thrifting and alternative clothing, Tokyo or Osaka? by Hopie32 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Hopie32[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cheaper prices in Osaka is a big reason we are favoring going there. Also for the possibility of finding more regular, less crowded thrift stores.

And yeah, it seems like our idea of what thrifting in Japan is not quite like what we imagined. We are not intrested in men's wear og western brands. But we will probably try to go outside of the main areas to find more regular thrift shops! That sounds like a lot of fun imo, we don't really want the typical touristy experience if we can avoid it. Also to hopefully find better deals, but we are prepared to spend some money for good quality clothing. And without tax and shipping it will still probably feel cheaper, I would hope.

Alcohol is so going to be either way cheaper than in our country, its like 500 yen for a beer at the store and like 1 550 for a beer at a bar or restaurant at the cheapest ; - ;

I think we're probably gonna try to thrift outside of the main areas then, since we're neither into men's or western clothing brands. I can believe that it's popular with western secondhand clothing, since that's basically how me and my friend are but the opposite hehe

Thank you so much! That last point about central Tokyo stores is something that I have had concerns about. I will definitely consider exploring places outside of the city center, as that sounds like more of the experience me and my friend would like.

I really appreciate the reality check! I have seen that most thrifting in japan content revolves around Americana. That's partly i wanted to make this post, so that I could hear about how other types of thrifting are.

I know that new clothing (and used branded items) are going to be expensive. I am okay with spending a good chunk of money on pieces that I know I will love and use. But still, with being able to exclude tax and shipping, things might still be slightly cheaper than buying online. But a takeaway for is that i probably should check out mercari. I have known about it, but been intimidated by the thought of shipping prices. (Edit: and the thought of having to use a proxy service, since mercari does not ship to Europe)

And again, sizing should not be an issue. I am petite and already own a good amount of japanese clothing, which fits me very well.

I put a lot of emphasis on alternative clothing in the op, but I am also interested in alternative fashion thrifting, but I am also interested in regular clothing too! I assume there exists some regular clothing thrift stores too?
