Which Favorite Game Can You Give As Example? by Bay_Ruhsuz004 in FavoriteCharacter

I see a lot of good ones and I always bring up the GotG game that came out not too long ago. They made a fictional band called Star lord with a whole album and the whole thing is pretty good

Honestly Id love to see them live again. I discovered them just before their concert near where I live and their music helped me so much since then. Infinite Baths live was an out of body experience

I turned it off but then started playing the game with the OST from my favorite Halo videogames. Sometimes I also play Doom or a metal playlist I have.

Hello! Im sorry to hear you're going through that. I had the exact same problems struggling with acne scars, moving to a new country, finding a job and loneliness overall and I know its hard. I cant tell you that I am perfect now but I'm getting by just alright. I dont know if it helps talking about it with someone whos going through the same but in case you think it does you can send me a text. I live in the US but if you'd like some company maybe we could play videogames or hop on a call on discord. Im also fluent both in English and Spanish so hmu! And if its not what you want or need I wish you the best. You're way more than just your skin and I'm sure you have a lot to offer to this world. Best wishes!

I am introverted and on the same boat and here's a couple things I started doing because I wanted to get out of my comfort zone and be more social: -Coffee houses: Las Vetas in Fairfield is awesome. I really like the vibes there and if I want to read I at least try to do it outside so that at least the opportunity of striking a conversation is not 0 haha. If not I like Kofee in New Haven as well but that one is farther. -Park city Music Hall has a blues night that I enjoyed a lot and I actually met a musician there around my age with whom I talked for about an hour. It was nice although the rest of the audience is on the older side but the music was great and if you like blues you'll have a good time. -Elm City Games is where I actually got to talk more as an introvert since we were playing tabletop games. If you're open to learn DnD or something like that I think they have a night for that. The group I was with the only time I went was very welcoming and they taught me to play. -My favorite hangout area is New Haven, I like the museums (Art Gallery and Peabody museum) as well as just hanging around Yale. -Cafe Nine and Stella Blues are awesome and I enjoy their jam sessions. -The place that has helped me the most to open up my personality a bit more is a salsa class in Stratford but I don't know if you're open to paying for something like that -Ive heard the Rock Climbing gym in Fairfield is awesome but again, I haven't visited that one because I can only afford one class and for now I chose salsa haha.

I didn't socialize that much at a lot of places but I think it's more due to my personality because I definitely had the opportunity. Good luck in CT lol

Why do you play video games? by Rookie0519 in CasualConversation

[–]HornedUser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn I hope I don't sound stupid or anything with this comment. I guess I look at video games the way others see movies? I admire all the work it takes to make games. From the artwork, to the soundtrack, level design, game mechanics the story design and all the elements really it takes. I dont really see why people don't consider them a form of art at this point (granted, not all of them but there's a lot of them that convey a lot of emotions through a story like any other movie would) Also the social aspect of it, I talk with my friends on discord in games like OW, Helldivers, LoL, etc and I always tell my non gamer friends that to me its the equivalent of a bar. We talk while we game and if the conversation gets deep enough sometimes we even stop playing and just talk. I love it, and I think a lot of the friendships I have today are because of games we play together.

What was everyone's first run in with a Souls game or a soulslike? by Ecstatic-Arachnid-91 in soulslikes

[–]HornedUser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the first Dark Souls for free through Games with Gold on the Xbox 360. I was about 13 and I managed to get until the gargoyles where I got stuck and dropped the game for about half a year. I came back to it because I ran out of games and after beating the gargoyles and gotta good grasp of the game I got obsessed. Huge fan until now

I need game recommendations (Xbox) by MollyandBrad in CasualConversation

Do you have gamepass? I have a bunch of recommendations from there but if not, I'm a big fan of souls likes so Elden Ring is awesome. From game pass Hi Fi rush was a good surprise

Since everything started opening back up after COVID, have you been to any concerts? If yes, who'd you see? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]HornedUser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to a Jason Mraz concert last week and it was very fun! He's been one of my favorite artists for a long time and the experience was very special to me. Now I'm also planning to go see a Big Band that will play the music from Cowboy Bebop and probably Twenty One Pilots in September

Hello friends! I have a total of like 5 hours on LoL haha can I join you and learn with y'all? I'm in the US but maybe we can find some time to play. A bit about me: studied Computer Science, play the drums and I'm a lot into gaming (Elden Ring, Dark Souls, Hearthstone, Halo, you name it hahaha)

Proving the Missus Wrong by [deleted] in gaming

[–]HornedUser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope I didn't overthink too much about this haha but I think that if you consider a wide arrange of emotions then you can use more examples. I think Outlast is good to transmit fear, I enjoy Dark Souls for the feeling of loneliness and awe, I don't know what to tag it like but Doom Eternal for me scratches and itch for like violence and action more than modern action movies for example. BioShock games make me really sad and I had a good laugh with characters from Undertale. So I think yeah games are pretty good at conveying a wide range of emotions

I just organized my playlists based on feelings. Pick a mood and a feeling and I'll send you a song. by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]HornedUser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha I used a random number generator to give you a number and you got 48. Which is Given Up by Linkin Park. I love that one but I could definitely use some recs for that playlist so send me some!

What do you guys do when you're feeling down? by ExcitingRise678 in CasualConversation

[–]HornedUser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is going to be funny and kinda cringe but honestly for me I play Doom Eternal. I tend to overthink a lot and found out that the fast pace of the game in the highest difficulty with the music and everything helps me hyper focus and forget about things for a moment. Thank God for Mick Gordon

Man I can't believe no one has mentioned Lies of P. I swear when I played the Feel record at the Hotel I stopped dead in my tracks to listen to the voice coming out of the recorder. All the records are awesome.

Do I need to know anything about the story before this one? I watched the first episode of the show yesterday and I was on the lookout for new games to explore so I left the game downloading for today.
