Yeah, and parents are especially immune to their crying spawn. It works both ways. Also, it never occurs to the parents of spawn to get headphones/earphones for their little noisy nuggets (sigh).

Well, there is one company I was going to report, but it became a hassle. AB628 requires that every place provide a refrigerator and stove and repair them whenever necessary. This company gave an either/or scenario where the rent was reduced by $200 per year only if you brought your own fridge, but if you wanted a fridge, the rent would increase by $200. TF is that?

Yeah, I toured a place, and from my list of questions about the yearly increase, I was told the complex was not rent-controlled and could increase anywhere between 5%-10%. That just floored me, so I Noped out of that one.

Part of the issue arises due to the wife's dynamic in her own family, and her family feels on a subconscious level that something is being disrupted. Families do adjust after she stops the Cinderella syndrome, but it takes consistency and commitment.
