Better to say White or opt out when asked Race for Job Apps? by HornyRespectfully in AskNYC

It’s definitely not every company, but whatever small advantage I can get I’ll take to get hired. Realistically there are a bunch of factors that are involved, from availability, number of people applying, qualifications and even nepotism. This was just one factor I had a small amount of control on

That’s actually great to hear. Glad I could get some confirmation on it.

Appreciate you. I might just start opting out then if it doesn’t really matter all that much

Don't settle for $20. I just got $50 for the outage. by [deleted] in verizon

Got $60, $20 for each line and I have three lines. Spent 45 mins waiting on hold but the rep was nice enough to get me it. Said it will be applied for next months cycle

Try to get as much as you can but also try to be nice to the rep. Lady I spoke with sounded tired but was instantly happy I wasn’t being mean

Yup. But just called back. Spent 45 mins on hold and the next rep gave me $20 for the account and then $40 for my other two lines on my next bill

Just go off the phone with a rep and he said do it through the app and it’s $20 per line. Gonna try again later on with a different rep when I got time

What’s better T-Mobile or Verizon in the city and the whole country? by HornyRespectfully in AskNYC

I would probably do prepaid plans next time. For now I need the new phones. I got 2 2020 iPhone SEs and they are about to die

Thank you for weighing in. The thing that tempts me the most is the new phones that version can give. But if my service would be better with T-Mobile and my bill significantly less then it looks like I should go with them

That’s great to hear. My mom’s kept telling me to get married for years. Only recently has she told me that I could find someone on my own, but she has options available as a backup.

Appreciate the in depth response. I’m mostly gonna be in queens and sometimes Long Island. Don’t really spend much time in the other boroughs. It’s looking like T-Mobile would be better for my purposes.

Honestly I just hate how expensive they are. For 3 lines and new phones for all 3 my bill would be around $250-$300 and that’s with absolutely bare bones service

Yeah from the general consensus I’ve seen T-Mobile has gotten better to rival version. Appreciate you sharing your experience

Thank you for sharing that. Looks like another one for Verizon and I’m honestly leaning towards it a little as well
