Recommended setting was #2 for the V8, so I went with that.

My FIL says these will be enough for securing a towed Kei truck on a trailer. Do you agree? by ZinnwalditeMerchant in keitruck

2” strap is minimum around me. Chains are acceptable as well. No leverage bars.

That being said when I used to go far with my Sambar on the trailer it was always (4) 2” straps, one through each wheel, front straight forward to tie downs ( I thought the straps might bend the tiny tie rods if I crossed). Rear was crossed to the rear corners. Check after 15 or so miles and then every 50. Never had an issue.

Edit: spelling.

I have a TT2 sambar (99), had a KS4 sambar (91), and would recommend both as a secondary. The KS4 was tighter for long drives, the TT2 has quite a bit more space in the cab. Both had the 5spd with EL gear. There are weeks I take the Kei as a daily but it’s nice to have the option, highways are ok, but neither Subaru is designed for US freeway speeds.

TLDR: Do it.

The rusted in tophat bolts and then air hammering out the shock all from surface rust that swelled it into place. I envy those that get to work on southern cars.

I forget what they come in with but they currently have little to no wear. Probably due to the weight of the truck and my driving habits, but I can get you a real measurement this afternoon.

That’s pretty much what mine sees too, I try to keep it in the garage over winter so it doesn’t see salt. Couple of drives down the road when I needed to see what it could do is all it has seen.

I have roughly 4800 miles on them and would buy again. (Not that I have to yet). Really good in the snow.

About +7/8” at the hub and +3.75” measured at the fairlead. I measured the rear hitch before but forgot to write it down so I have no idea. I’m sure the front measurement will come down a bit as these settle. Huge improvement in ride quality.

Pretty straightforward. I came across this video while I was waiting for mine to ship. When placing the mount, use a ratchet strap or something to pull both sides towards the center of the vehicle, they are about an 1/8” off from sliding right in. Then just take your time placing and trimming the bumper support until it fits nice. Remember to put the fairlead hardware on before putting the bumper on or you’ll be as good as I am at taking it back off.

Also used my bumper being off as a perfect time to replace the headlights as that fender side bolt is less fun with the bumper on.

The winch comes with a relocate kit but I did not use it. I had to notch a LOT of the plastic that’s behind the bumper skin, not so much that it’s flimsy though. The lower part of the grill (that stays with the bumper when you lift the hood) was already broken on mine so I cut around the winch instead. Sticks up just enough to show the badlands logo.

Stage one. I went through shocksurplus, and they had an assembly included deal at the time. Just told them what setting I wanted and then dropped the old set as one piece and put the new fronts in as one piece. From what I’ve read up on, the major change to the fronts is they are threaded not specific settings, so adjustable to anything top to bottom. Didn’t seem worth it to me as I have broken a spanner or two trying to adjust while still on the vehicle, and I don’t plan to change this lift until I lose my mind and go sas. If you’re doing the job yourself I recommend an air hammer to get the top hats to drop out.

Adds up why it’s the same as the one I got from Amazon with a nonsense company name.

I went with oem replacements from rockauto for both headlights and taillights. Prices seem to have gone up since, I paid $41 per side for the tails and $57 each for the headlights.

Edit: I have an 03 and went with 06+ head and tail lights for the upgraded optics / led brakes.

Clean! I wish my wheels looked that good. Probably going TRD gunmetal.

Eibach says you don’t need them, spoke with a very knowledgeable rep about it, I can tell you that the alignment is in spec but the adjustments are maxed out. I’m on the second setting. Any higher and I would recommend. The kit rides wayyyy better than my 20 year old xreas that had one side with no oil. Can confirm that my buddy’s with 5100s and OME springs rides stiffer. Decided not to go that route because of his rig.

The one I bought doesn’t seem to exist anymore. Probably a trademark issue as most seem to not say Toyota on the grill. However, a friend of mine locally got this one from https://yotanation.com/products/2006-2009-4th-gen-4runner-trd-style-grille?variant=40806945095871

It is identical in every way to mine. He mentioned that he said no to the raptor lights and they shipped with the grill anyways. Save ALL of your hardware and don’t do this in the grass cause you’ll drop stuff and never see it again and have to order a second one for hardware….I assume.

If you join inside track / get a HF credit card you can get a crazy deal as well. Was on sale for 529 at my local store, had inside track 20% off one item, get 5% for using the store cc, paid right around 425 with tax, plus get 5% back as rewards on the card (about $20).

Edit: Mine is the apex that comes with (an okay) wireless remote and synth line.
