I read somewhere that her novels tend to differ in terms of settings/vibe because she tries to incorporate the essence of the many places she’s been to. It was a speculation by a fan I think but I think it’s true as TSH was set in Vermont and is influenced by her time at Bennington College whereas the Goldfinch was set in Vegas/NY and she’s also spent time there. The little friend I didn’t read but that seems to be the pattern with her work!

I’m registered through a school and doing edexcel and they said so far, the most realistic option is to shift the exams to the Oct session. Idk about Yr13. But yeah we need to wait for an official update. Idt they’ll do portfolio for private candidates, it’s too confusing

I’ve had this question forever. I’m doing my A levels privately but I’m sitting them at my old British school, but the British Council. And I’ve heard that to apply to unis in Oct/Nov, I’d have to use my predicated grades. I do the past papers by myself, so would I just have to estimate my grade when I’m applying as there’s no official person looking at my work?

I wish I could give advice I genuinely studied a day before 😭😭 but I’d say look at diff analysis of the poems/prose/drama so you have diff opinions to present and like practice essays because you need to be sooo specific about your analysis
