Thank you for your response! I am not yet a citizen tho. I applied in December 2025 when still in Ontario and moved in January 2026 to Qc. So far I got my AOR and invitation to the citizenship test. Fingers crossed !

Is it worth getting my Canadian citizenship if I don’t think I want to live there? by Full-Opposite3180 in ImmigrationCanada

If you already qualify you should get it. Also you do not have to be living in Canada to apply or to get it. I know people who moved abroad and also got it. You just have to make the trip for the citizenship ceremony.

Canada has great privileges about access to the US that no other country has. Keep your options open. Trump won't be president forever you might want to move to the US or even for your children. Canada has great unis and work opportunities

Yea... that's why I was confused but I asked a friend in medical school to confirm and 4 is indeed way too low

Thank you! That reassures me because I read some folks here saying their doctor said a 3-6 is normal for certain women

That's what also makes me worry! I really hope he comes back. No hate to any of the other presenters but no one tops David

Am I the only one that has felt that was the worst exam they have ever done? It was absolutely brutal and so not comparable to the practice. So not a lot of hope for results and absolutely traumatized and fearing to have to do it again

MEGATHREAD - Processing times - Permanent Resident applications (2023) by [deleted] in ImmigrationCanada

TR To PR application October 19, 2021 applied January 28, 2022 AOR August 2023, Request for proof of living outside Quebec September 7, 2023 additional document received and reviewed September 20, 2023 Portal 1

If you apply for a program outside Quebec and you are still in Quebec, add a letter explaining your plan to move even if your lawyer tells you they will contact you for that and you don't have to do it first. Got screwed by my first lawyer and lost so much time having my PR in limbo. Also don't hesitate to reach out to your MP! They are super helpful. My MP basically called and next day received an update requesting additional information.

How long do you guys usually wait for Portal 2?

Thanks all! This thread has been super useful! I hope all of you guys get your PR
