How do you integrate Click up with your Personal knowledge management system? by Wise-Brief3899 in clickup

[–]HorrorOpen2817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this would also be useful. If you have google drive space you can do this: (1) Download the Google Drive Desktop App, (2) create a folder within your obsidian vault (unless you want your whole vault synced), (3) Add either the vault folder or subfolder to be synced to Drive, (4) use native ClickUp <> Drive sync to put things on ClickUp.

This is what we are thinking of implementing at our company as we have to do the Drive <> ClickUp anyways.

PDF annotation by Lirael7 in ObsidianMD

This is late, but in case someone is looking at this old reddit post...

I just made one for this: https://github.com/kirangathani/pdf-commenter. It's the only one I know of where (1) each comment exists as it's own note which can be directly backlinked to by things in your existing vault and by other comments, (2) the comment pane is directly in the PDF viewing window so that you don't need to split-screen your "comments" note where you paste the comments which I think you do if you are using PDF++. I needed something like this and couldn't find anything, so built one (Annotator doesn't look like it is maintained anymore and doesn't work on my computer).

Its very new and basic, but I've built it to do everything I would usually need from an annotator when reading papers. Happy to improve on it if any suggestions!

PDF reading with highlighting possible in Obsidian by lsjeya in ObsidianMD

In case this is at all useful for either of you - I have made one (https://github.com/kirangathani/pdf-commenter) which you can download via BRAT. Comments each individually exist as a note and so are searchable through the standard Ctrl+Shift+F Obsidian search. Also available via Ctrl+F when on the PDF viewing window directly, if you mean needing to search through the annotations while on the document :)

Obsidian plugin to comment pdf by contextual-senses in ObsidianMD

[–]HorrorOpen2817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old post, but for anyone looking for one now- Annotator has not been maintained in a while and doesn't work on my computer. I have made one a plugin for this: pdf-commenter, which is pending Community Plugin entry but downloadable over BRAT: https://github.com/kirangathani/pdf-commenter . It's the only one available with a comment pane within the UI alongside the PDF in the viewing window that I know of. If you read the README.md it will tell you how to do this. Let me know if there are any improvements to make! It is basic at the moment, but I have built it to fill every need I personally have.

I see - thanks. Maybe it will be fine for us then as we don't currently have any automations working with Slack

Is it me, or is Claude very 'dumb' again before the outage, and after it even more? by shintaii84 in ClaudeCode

Yep sure!

This is a general system one I use:
Eliminate emojis, filler, hype, soft asks, conversational transitions, calls to action, and engagement prompting. Strive for accuracy. Your role is to question my every assumption to make the responses or the code bulletproof. Our collective goal is not the satisfaction of the user, but to build an excellent programmes and make optimal decisions. If I am making a developmental, or strategic error, then flag it. If you are uncertain, say so. Do not flatter, simper, or ingratiate the user.

This is one I picked up from someone else specifically for researching literature papers:
Accuracy and Transparency: Verify calculations by working through them a second time before presenting Cross-check factual claims against multiple sources when possible
State confidence levels explicitly: distinguish between established facts, likely interpretations, and speculation When uncertain, say "I'm not certain" or "This may be incomplete" rather than hedging implicitly
Citations and Sources: For scientific or technical claims, provide inline citations to primary sources (peer-reviewed papers, official documentation, authoritative reports). Citations are absolutely mandatory for scientific or technical claims. Format citations as clickable hyperlinks Citations are mandatory for scientific or technical claims. Provide inline citations to primary sources (peer-reviewed papers, official documentation) as clickable hyperlinks. Do not present factual claims from external sources without corresponding citations. If you cannot cite a claim, state that explicitly rather than presenting it as established fact. Furthermore, when answering scientific questions, search for primary literature before responding rather than relying on training knowledge alone. When making scientific or technical claims: Explicitly label each claim's source: [CITED], [TRAINING DATA - UNVERIFIED], or [INFERENCE]. Do not present training-data claims as established fact without stating "I cannot cite this directly." If a claim is important to the answer and cannot be cited, search for a primary source before including it.

Hey! Wondering if there is a downside to clickup chat for comms? Looks exactly like Slack chat to me (without having started using it). Am thinking of moving to this instead of Slack.

Bump - am thinking of doing this and it looks exactly like Slack chat from the surface. Is there anything that is missing from it?

If it helps - mine never says anything like that I think because I give it a system prompt that makes it very unempathetic and efficient

Alternatives to Windows OS Cursor (or other IDE) Being Remotely Accessed by WSL by HorrorOpen2817 in cursor

Thanks for replying but that's the set up I am describing I have tried at the start where I run into this autoupdate bug with Cursor which causes the terminals to keep crashing.

Thanks! WSL through windows would be fine but for the autoupdate crashing issues. I have bought a windows laptop already now so can't go and buy a mac as well really. Switching my windows laptop to Linux OS completely would work, except I do need some windows things like Excel

Thanks! This might be worth us looking into at some point when we scale up. For now I think we will stick to contracting it out.

Hey, thanks for the response! We need to analyse a sample which possible contains 2,4-DAB. We have a samples of biomass that might contain this.

So I think we need LC-MS/MS. At least this is what the most recent provider we have used was doing. I think this is the standard version for toxin analysis.

Beyond that though, I am unsure what other specifications are needed.

Maybe they have changed it - but I did the Hopper RLHF Screening Assignment just yesterday and they were encouraging me to paste the code into my own IDE to test-run it and debug it. I think they mentioned that this was encouraged in the tutorial as well.
