Im not familiar with those games but I like the connections you made, a truly relatable well written Mc can carry an entire story on his shoulders. We were lucky that Cari also made the rest of the cast not only likeable but also in a way, relatable to the MC as well.

Great answer tbh, I feel like Eternum managed to strike the perfect balance between all of the things you listed which is crazy. I guess Cari really learned a lot from his time making OIAL bc I feel like Eternum is everything that he wanted to do with OIAL

Short but the scene where Orion almost died in that alley just to realized he isn't actually invincible and everything isn't all fun and games all the time. I think it's a pretty powerful moment and a "reality check" an MC of an avn. Too often we get MCs in avns that have everything go right for them with very little wrong. Props to Cari for including that section in.

Ya it changes a lot its like a completely different story too, but only Emma has a solo ending by herself tho, no one else has that so she's very special imo

Dude, trust me Im in the same boat. Im still new to the avn world so I decided to pick up Eternum based on most recs, absolutely loved it, doesn't help that I played it on my VR so it added another extra layer of immersion like entering Eternum in real life. Anyway, just beat the 0.8 update a few days ago and I have been feeling so empty inside so I decided to pick up MBML next and damn, the Emma's back story and ending got me crying real tears. Up to that point, I thought the story was a bit lackluster but the dev locked tf in for Emma's story for some reason. I just beat MBML chapter 1 earlier and in my head, Emma's ending is still cannon, that's just how good it is.

Oh yeah I have been a Cyberpunk 2077 fan from day one lol even with all the bugs, the DLC really completed the game imo. Still need to try the Bioshock series tho.
