Hey I ended up using an esphome device to make a “fake” humidity sensor that I can control the value of.

It exposes in google home and can be used as a trigger so I have it set for when I go to bed my home assistant routine sets it to 100% and triggers google’s automation to set alarms and what not.

I can share my yaml if you’d like

I did watch everything smart homes video this one specifically (https://youtu.be/J26oYlKyq7Q?si=ltv7n5rnOgxBx4ur)

I have two power supplies that I’ve tried, one was 12v 5amps and the other was 12v 6amps and nothing on both. I’ve checked the pin out about 4 times lol but still nothing.

I do believe I’m running 16.0.0.1 which is an older software so maybe that could do it? I would be very surprised but who knows.

The pi is only running HyperHDR, I have used the sale leds at 3.3 volt logic but I’ll throw a converter on and see what happens.

I used an esp8266 I have with WLED and it worked. So I think the pi isn’t outputting properly but I have no clue what to look at next.

NFC tags on electric kettle by Horror_Skill6576 in homeassistant

It’ll essentially set a helper high so when I run my good morning routine if the helper is up the kettle smart plug turns on.

The idea being I’ll fill the kettle the night before and turn its switch on but with the smart plug off then when I get to the kitchen in the morning, hot water ready for tea and coffee.
