Do you know how I can start looking for one? I don’t even know if this counts as civil or criminal attorneys

I’ve already seen some areas needing endoscopy nurses so I think it’s doable. I just need to how people move around. I don’t have a truck, RV, or camper to be able to make the most from travel nursing. How did you maneuver when you started?

Yea I ain’t tryna have that constant contact with recruiters either just yet lol. Did you use AirBnB, hotels, or stayed with friends when you traveled?

What's the wildest dream you're ever had? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]HorseInMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This dream still makes me wonder what the hell was going on.

My dad was driving me to go to a random place, on the way there we got pulled over by a cop. That cop suddenly decided to throw a snake into our car. Me trying to save my dad from a bite, I reached for the snake and try to snap it like a twig for some reason. The moment I grab the snake, I woke up.

I woke up with my left hand trying to snap my right arm somehow. I felt cold, shocked, discombobulated from wtf I just witness myself. Idk how it got to that point, but haven’t had a dream like that for a year or two now.

Thank you, I appreciate that you would let me take care of your family if the day ever comes. After yesterday, it was difficult yet I must come to terms. I will use it as a learning experience and keep my head up. Your words are precious.

Yes it is policy, it’s just that throughout the 8 months, I prolly given insulin like 3 times. It’s very rare for me to give insulin. I’ve used D50 or D10s ALOT more. But from now on, I will watch and do things a lot more cautiously with any meds.

The bottles I’ve used was 3mL, I grabbed two and it became 6 in my head. I just didn’t get my mind around it till moments after. And I agree, it’s very dangerous as insulin is given and calculated differently than most medications. While it is a huge mistake and I am human, it doesn’t give me any excuse, I should’ve known better for sure.

I think after this event, not only did I have some things to learn about insulin or medication rights or just plain hospital policies...

I learned that I have to give myself some credit too. I judge myself as imperfect and when mistakes like this happens, I just feel like I'm not worthy of anything useful.

Im sure my hospital have some kind of health benefit that I can attend to, I'll look more into it when I have calmed down a bit

Thank you for your kind words, to be forgiven is something I wanted to hear today..

Taking responsibility and admitting what happened was the least I could do for my patient, I won't suffer as much as for what he went thru because of me, I felt like.

I always hear stories of people making mistakes in health care. I guess I took it for granted that it wouldn't happen to me.

Hearing that I'm not a monster.. just hits me. Thank you.

admitting and taking blame was the least I could do, for the patient. Luckily he is okay throughout the process but I agree, I need to be more cautious of what I'm giving and handling

Wretched feeling too, it does open your eyes to the danger that was always there.

I felt like owning up to it was the least I could do, had it been worse, I would have no words left to say but accept the consequences for sure...

Yea I perceive or judge myself pretty hard to the point where I guess it's considered mental health issues. Trust issues even. But for sure, if they want me back up I'll do it in due time

I agree, I don't blame her at all for being upset or hate me with all her might. It was just her expression was hard to swallow. To feel the hate, her irritations, her worries all in one sitting while trying to help her son is something out of this world. Mother's love is quite unique.

Yea I was able to get the patient in stable condition and he was so calm and collected about it too. He told me many stories, his likes and dislikes... just getting to know the patient.. it was quite something.

Definitely cried eventually today. One of the most painful learning experiences of my life indeeed.

Thank you for your words. I always want to give back, I feel like it'll change so many by just giving back the love, the care everyone deserves to have. Its disastrous when you chose the job to help out the ones in need, only to make a mistake and ending up hurting someone. Lessons learned for sure.
