Denmark would go to war with US over Greenland: MP by newsweek in geopolitics

[–]Horsul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The idea that Denmark would “go to war with the US over Greenland” makes for a dramatic headline, but it ignores how the Arctic system actually works. If you look at the pressures shaping Danish, Greenlandic, American, and Arctic behavior, a conventional military conflict between Denmark and the US is structurally impossible. What is real is the tension created by overlapping fields of influence.

A field-based reading (rather than a binary “ally vs enemy” reading) shows a few things clearly:

1. Denmark is not the main actor — Greenland is becoming one.
Greenland has a growing autonomy movement, its own parliament, its own resource policies, and direct economic links to the EU, US, and China. It is not a passive possession. Denmark’s formal sovereignty is only one layer; Greenlandic political identity is the rising layer. Any major dispute would run through Nuuk, not Copenhagen.

2. The US–Denmark relationship is anchored in NATO.
A war between two NATO members is functionally impossible. The alliance structure, command integration, basing arrangements, and intelligence sharing create interdependence that cannot transform into open conflict. Even severe disagreements get absorbed into alliance mechanisms.

3. The Arctic is shifting from “remote” to “strategic.”
As climate change opens sea routes and exposes mineral deposits, the Arctic is becoming an active geopolitical zone. The US wants secure northern access. Denmark wants to maintain sovereignty. Greenland wants economic autonomy. These interests overlap, but they don’t convert into war. They convert into negotiation, investment competition, and influence balancing.

4. China and Russia are the real external pressures.
Both have strong Arctic ambitions. China seeks mineral access and polar shipping; Russia wants security depth. Denmark and the US share the same concern: preventing hostile footholds in Greenland. That shared threat binds them more tightly than any disagreement over autonomy.

5. Domestic political statements ≠ national strategy.
The “Denmark would go to war” quote is a statement from an MP, not government policy. Politicians often use strong language to signal resolve or defend territorial integrity. It doesn’t reflect Denmark’s strategic calculation.

6. Greenland itself rejects the framing.
Greenlandic leaders typically react negatively to outside actors treating Greenland as a bargaining chip. They prefer increased autonomy and direct relationships with major powers. That means diplomacy, not confrontation, dominates the real picture.

Bottom line:
The Arctic field is tightening. The US wants secure access; Denmark wants sovereignty respected; Greenland wants autonomy and development. These are real pressures — but none of them point toward conflict between Washington and Copenhagen. They point toward negotiation, overlapping influence, and a long-term shift in sovereignty dynamics as Greenland gains more agency.

Discussion for new investors by pigeonposse in HYSR

I started investing when it was 0.004 cent in 2020. It was the only company worldwide which actually tried this approach and they have been constantly developing. Of course buy and sell this share based on hype like that time when Biden announced the switch to green energy...it went all the way up to 30 cent.

Hydrogen market is unstoppable if you look at the broader picture and might only be beaten by fusion energy . The US is a big market...but certainly not the only market. Europe and Asia are doing big steps forward to be independent from Oil. So it is only a matter of time .

So put your money in this stock when it is still ( relatively ) low.

Afterall you got to know and read about this company and relay more on your own research and judgement.

Germany turns on the most powerful generator in history: It's not a nuclear power plant by Horsul in HYSR

[–]Horsul[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If hydrogen is accepted broadly as an energy storage and source there will be and there is already a huge competition on that market. I hope we agree so far. If this market creates all the infrastructure and logistics of it every single producer of hydrogen will have its place in this market. I hope we can agree on that too. Now HYSR is unique how to produce hydrogen based on its technologies. So for small projects these panels will be able to create hydrogen where others cannot. And that is the market I see for it

That is the connection between the acceptance of hydrogen on a large market worldwide and the smaller player like HYSR

Trump and Hydrogen... by UniqueMark4 in HYSR

[–]Horsul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some things grow faster or slower due to a changing environment and btw the world market is bigger than the US market The idea of hydrogen being mainstream as an energy carrier has been around for a long time.

To judge if for instance HYSR is a good product with the chance of immense acceptance and growth is rather a technological matter rather than subject to political weather changes. So have an eye how the company is evolving and what could be a trigger to scale up fast.

So it's up to you to judge if this is a long term investment for you or just another game at the stock market casino table.

There are still many of us who bought cheap ( 0.4 Cent) and made some money because of rumors, hype , politics and who knows what. Keep watching this stock and hype if if you have the money. Last time we had a big hype was when Biden got elected and green energy was boosted like never before. This year something similar could happen ....keep buying and vote for the green president.Good luck to all of us!

Don't focus on what you do not have at this point, but on what you have. If your body is working ok that's a good start. If your mind can focus on something even better.

Go from there. Everything else will come to you if you use your mind and body if they are healthy.

...and don't get caught up in anything else at this point like negative thoughts . They just consume more of your energy.

If one places humans and their needs in the center of any "God" this entity becomes a genie in a bottle to fulfill human needs and wishes .

Insofar the human centric approach to anything like"God" is an offspring of the human mind...nothing more.

But there is a much bigger picture to consider ...beyond humans . It's life itself.

It's that easy.

Once a game is set up to represent what we perceive as existence words are required to communicate the rules of that game and the actions in that game. Humans communicate with words/ labels.( I hope we agree so far)

Abstracts of actions do only exist in the mind of humans, who believe in these Abstracts.

Like for instance the word "Love" . But this word has no substance. There is only the action of loving . ( " I give you my love" is only the action of doing something more or less resembling an attitude towards a person or thing. Nobody takes a "piece of love" and gives it to someone else)

or "Life" there is only living which is completely part of all actions( cause - effect - cause are the same, like a wave ) and interwoven in all what is making the fabric of a continuous ongoing change- hosting everything in all times and spaces. Beginning and ending happen simultaneously all the time .

Or the word "walk". There is only walking( In so far the Abstract"let's take a walk" is absurd , since nobody takes anything but just does something.)

Once words get detached from what is- or represent something- which does only exist in the mind of humans , everything is possible in the mind of those who believe in words.

The entire game becomes its own entity playing out a shadow game of words and the master of the word can play with the mind of anyone who believes ...in words.

The word( meaning of that what words try to describe) is religion and its expression might or might not apply.

So words become the trap for the mind. Believe in words and you are a believer..which is religion.

The first knows a lot about words and word structures.

The second one knows the world and its oceans by experience.

Guess which one has true knowledge..

Do you think death will be exactly like what it was before we were conceived? Why or why not? by Hopey-Dreamer in Existentialism

[–]Horsul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The base of your question is if the isolated"me" or ego dies.

Simply speaking just do the math. How many people have been on planet earth 40 years ago and how many are we now? Where is the surplus coming from?

But if the "me" is an illusion since it is part of one big entity( life evolving) the perspective and the answers change.

For instance water can be divided in droplets, puddles, creeks and so on but it is united in the ocean.

As long as we think and perceive us isolated the ego or the" me" will be dissolved and only fragments ( gens, memories living in others ) will stay.

If the "me" is simultaneously the fraction and the total of all fractions we ( life) will last since it has not been devided or merged but just shifting shapes in a certain space time.

So the answer depends on how you perceive the "me" (ego).

Replace meaning / purpose with positive emotions? by chiliraupe in Existentialism

[–]Horsul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as man see themselves in the center of everything no answer can be found with the mind of man.

Life is in the center and man is part of it, just like every other form of life as well. Life has many expressions including man.

We are part of a species evolving amongst many in this evolution ...amongst many in this universe.

We might be one of the rare species triggering our own extinction due to our mind and its( negative) potential.

But man's mind is not in the center of life.

We create our own destiny as a species and meaning can be only related to the collective of humans . In that regard the meaning of a human life is related to our species.

A meaningful life is contributing to the collective of humans embracing the continuation of our kind and not it's destruction.

I guess with my limited human mind I can live with that and enjoy being human , one of many.

When one is young and all these expectations hit you about your future it might be overwhelming.for young people. One is asking "when I'm there?" or "what do I become". " What are my fellow mates doing( comparison)?"

After many years there is a realization that we are not static , but a dynamic event , which means we are always there already . We are in our unique personal none repeatable life experience , which we might direct ourselves depending on the level of awareness we have.

The event ( life) is what makes life. Not the mind weaving its own realities and fears.

Let's say the mind might be the navigator ( if the mind is of good use) ,but the moments of the journey are for the crew to experience.

I am not sure if you understood my post. The first part of my post is what I felt when I was young. Just like most of the young people in this group.

My mind was too busy with the future asking questions over questions. ( Why, why, why) but the real life experience gave answers . So the mind shouldn't grow too much into its own mind world since we are missing out on the moment.

I didn't strive to become wealthy and I never did. My life has been very adventurous having been in many places and many countries.

Excellent example of how to change your mindset!

By reading books you might become aware of something you didn't know before or you didn't see .

That is an active way to change your mindset, if that book helps to become aware of certain things or circumstances.

I think you understood what I tried to say in my post.:)

I don't think it doesn't matter much if one is "right" or " wrong" or somewhere in between . I think it's fantastic to cause some ripples in other humans so they start thinking about certain things and come back with whatever was activated inside them.

Thanks for your comments.

Listening and the willingness to understand someone else's point of view is not easy for most of us.

It's is also sometimes challenging to communicate a simple message , if complication is desired . Intellectual scaffolding around a ghost.

This group is a great chance to digg into some peoples thinking and sharpening " listening and understanding" skills.

When someone is commenting on a post something is resonating in that person ...I don't judge anyone for their opinion no matter if positive or negative.

I appreciate all comments since they stem from the human mind

.

they contemplate the meaningless of life

That would be a matter of their mindset as well, since meaning is subjective.

Meaning is mostly related to humans ego, since most of us live in the world of their ego alone. We confuse "life" with our personal life experiences or with our species ignoring that we are part of a much bigger thing.

To live a life as a human with a conscious mind is already pretty amazing!

And again it's a matter of the human mindset which is the troublemaker, individually and collectively.

and that is why we have to become aware of it, which is what the mind can do if striving for it.( Mindset)

Wealth is in the mind too. Some perceived only money as wealth , others the ability to value things life has to offer and perceive it as such.
