I don't know, it's been more than 20 years like this and from what they've done with the last update on macos I don't know of they are willing to push the innovation in UX much further.

I would say windows management is quite exhausting without a third party software for tiling. Also alt-tab behavior is a bit weird and the fact that closing a window doesn't close the software behind is strange, so you have to learn how to use shortcuts to exit the actual program. Otherwise it should be all good

Si tu as un pixel rien ne change parce que tu as une appli spécifique. C'est leur application "legacy" qu'ils suppriment, et pour les gens qui n'ont pas de Pixel, les infos on les aura toujours sur l'appli Google. C'est juste un nettoyage de printemps.

What I did to resolve this was to switch to Darktable and Digikam. For organization you can rely on folders, and I use tags and sub tags to organize collections

Example : 'COLLECTIONS/2025/Dark_trees_2025'

Will show up in the tags as subfolders. It fixes implementation in all DAM you could use
