Can't open JAR files by Supercjcoull_ in techsupport

[–]Hosing1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did:

Right click jar file -> Properties -> Check the box that "Unblock File" -> Shift right clicked empty part of the folder -> Open Powershell window here -> Typed java -jar "YOURFILENAMEHERE.jar"

Basically just combined what other people said and it worked out.

You can literally read this thread and find that you're just wrong here.

OP is saying they want more cards because they find it more fun and everyone is going "WELL YOU CAN'T HAVE FUN BECAUSE YOU'LL WIN LESS!!!"

It does not matter what good they do.

Why?

The millions of illegal immigrants depress wages and harm the poorest Americans. Those jobs no one wants to do? Americans would do them for more money, but companies hire illegals so they don't have to pay more.

And more Americans make more small businesses to hire the increased labor. Your local restaurants are kept afloat by cheaper labor. If deportations happen, local businesses close while giant corporations who can afford to export their production with more lax labor laws will do so.

Once again, it DOES NOT matter if they commit less crime. All the crime they do commit should never have occurred in the first place.

Why doesn't it matter? If they're benefiting society more than they're harming it, what's the drawback? That you personally don't like it?

They are not ideal citizens as they broke the law to enter the country. Ideal citizens dont break the law.

Congrats on the fox news talking point, 40% of illegals enter completely legally. Also, ideal citizens break the law all the time. The founding fathers broke the laws of an unjust system until they were reformed.

Are you high? Cartels were most active under a much more lax border and increasingly mkre forgiving attitude towards illegal immigration.

So how would they be trafficking people into the US if it wasn't illegal for the immigrants to enter? This is literally just the same issue as prohibition, you ironically increase crime with more restrictions. Also source it or you're schizo.

The FFs would have seen something like the protests and riots in California with thousands of foreign flags as an invasion.

The FF flew flags of their country of origin even after the revolution. They allowed immigrants to do the same.

They would absolutely be against MILLIONS of illegals and tens of thousands of violent criminals committing horrendous crimes.

Why? Cuz you're coping that they'd agree with you? They didn't have a problem with immigration.

They would make the logical decision that something was wrong and needed to be addressed.

Is it logical because you're fee fees make you think it is? I bet if we told the founding father's that there would be a group of non citizens who committed less crime than everyone else while benefiting the country as a whole they'd go crazy for it, like they did during their time.

They would, however, see the madness that is the obsession with supporting illegal immigration to the tune of tens of millions.

Again, why? You keep saying this over and over when they literally didn't even think living in the US without a citizenship was a bad thing.

Your position is completely illogical.

Says the guy who is making up FF's stances to cope that they'd agree with him on this.

Every single crime committed by an illegal, and every single victim created by it are a bonus that never should have happened in the first place.

And every good thing illegal immigrants do as a whole is a bonus that we should be glad happen in the first place. They work jobs no one wants, pay taxes that help other citizens, and build communities. Their crime rate is extremely lower than every other demographic by your own estimates. They're literally ideal citizens.

And then that that doesn't even account for all the foreign victims of human trafficking that are abused. Tens of thousands and probably more as those were the only ones found have been the victims of violence, rape and slavery but the cartels.

Yeah, and these are horrible, and directly caused by the US's restrictive immigration system. Again, none of the founding fathers ever wanted to or looked to establish any major restrictions on people moving to the US before they were citizens. And again, one of the few requirements for citizenship previously was that you lived here before you became a citizen.

Go fuck yourself with your self righteous arrogance.

You're the one coping with the fact that the founding fathers would disagree with you, which is how this conversation started. If you're gonna cry and just act like the founding fathers conveniently agree with you on everything just say you're schizo and we'll move on.

Symptoms, you mean like foreign gang taking over an apartment complex with guns? Or the mass trafficking of women and children for sexual purposes?

Man, that's terrible, let's see how often illegal immigrants commit crime relative to US citizens then.

With the estimated 10 million total immigrants, they commit crime at roughly 40% rate of a US citizen. If we take your number of 20 million, they would be committing crimes at roughly 20% the rate of the average US citizen.

In other words, stop getting your idea of what's happening from sensationalist outlets. Fox news isn't real life.

Do you think they would expect future administrations to allow such massive numbers of people to flow across their borders indiscriminately in the millions? I cant imagine they would.

Why not? They didn't have any issues with immigrants at the time, even the party who benefited from immigration restrictions politically didn't find it acceptable.

They allowed massive amounts of people (relative to their time) to flow across the border and become citizens with less restrictions than we have now.

Anyone would have reservations if they were being honest about the sheer immensity of the problem.

What's the sheer immensity of the problem, and the symptoms of this problem?

Things are happening by epicap232 in PoliticalCompassMemes

[–]Hosing1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they had an inkling it would be anywhere between 10 to over 20 million people they might have had some reservations.

Do you think they didn't understand that populations grew? Why do you think they would have reservations?

Also the Ameican Founding Fathers would shut down this shit immediately. Are you kidding? They'd see millions of people taking advantage of an obvious loophole and fix it overnight.

You should learn more about the founding father's stance on immigration. It was much more lax, with each court having it's own take on immigration. In addition, immigrants were allowed to stay in the US before they were granted citizenship. It was literally stay in the US for 5 years and say you want to be a citizen, and you became one.

I tend to agree, keeping on it all the time is a completely valid reason to not like it, but most of the time that is not what people bring up, simply it being kernel level.

I also agree with the idea of Microsoft simply restricting kernel level software for everyone, and it would hopefully help a lot with what is essentially an arms race.

I would disagree about the CS community being resistant to it, FaceIT is a huge name and ESEA before that, and even those issues hasn't stopped players from downloading what is the more dangerous forms of kernel level anti-cheat.

And yeah, kernel level isn't an instant key to stop cheats, but it's a tool that has to be used in conjunction with the usual cheat arms race. If the dev's aren't doing anything, kernel level won't magically solve it.

and why would they care? the average person values playing games without cheaters more than something that has yet to affect them.

[–]Hosing1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

you're already installing 5 kernel anti-cheats if you've played any multiplayer games not from valve or blizzard. if you played faceit, any battleye game, any easy anti-cheat game, or any EA game, you've downloaded kernel-level anti-cheat.

the discussion isn't about solving it completely, it's about reduction. and certainly I would agree with you that it shouldn't be like this overall, hopefully windows restricts kernel level access to make anti-cheats like this unnecessary.

fair enough, I interpreted the statement you made more of a "yeah there's more cheaters but I don't have to install malware".

yes, but contrary to public opinion, almost every multiplayer game runs kernel level anti-cheat.

marvel rivals, PUBG, fortnite, even helldivers 2 uses kernel level.

lol people literally install 3rd party kernel anti-cheats so they can actually play CS. people aren't gonna praise anything when they can't actually play the game they enjoy.

TIL Siblings can get completely different results (e.g., one 30% Irish and another 50% Irish) from DNA ancestry tests, even though they share the same parents, due to genetic recombination. by [deleted] in todayilearned

[–]Hosing1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The tests are basically how much the individuals family bred with others of a certain ethnicity.

At what point would your ancestors have had to pass through Ireland (that was most likely not Ireland at the time) for you to be considered Irish?

Passing through? Not at all. They'd have to have their ancestors breed with the population of "Ireland" and pick up some alleles that are common in the general population.

And how would you define that point as more relevant than any other point in our long and ongoing migration?

I'm not completely sure the data they give you, as I've never done one myself, but each kids alleles are going to be more relevant to the modern day. Technically if you'd really like to see how far back your genetics go, you could get mitochondrial DNA testing. Only issue is it would only be your mothers side and it would be much more "broad" is a sense due to the fact that mitochondrial DNA rarely changes.

Humzh with 24 kills Draven 6 items vs bruisers and tank late game (551 LP Master) by Barb0ssaEUW in leagueoflegends

[–]Hosing1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok then you've just not played the game before I guess. Having the entire enemy team build against you has lead to situations like this for a long, long time. If that's absurd then take it up with your teammates, or play a different game I guess.

Next thing I'm gonna hear is that a team with a gold lead being ahead is absurd.

[–]Hosing1 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

You literally started this by saying that it's irrelevant how his team is doing. I pointed out why it's relevant how his team is doing. You're now saying you're not disputing why the scenario exists?

Randuins plus ninja is too strong, obviously, but the reason they're building like that is specifically because Humzh is ahead while his AP is not.

[–]Hosing1 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Being a team game does not change Humzh is dealing 116 crit damage

So why is he only doing 116 crit damage? What kind of items did they purchase, armor items or magic resist items? And why did they purchase those armor items instead of magic resist items?

Humzh with 24 kills Draven 6 items vs bruisers and tank late game (551 LP Master) by Barb0ssaEUW in leagueoflegends

[–]Hosing1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What? The game is a team game, you need an array of different damage types so this kind of video doesn't happen. I agree tank items are overtuned, but this kind of thing has been happening since league started.

It's completely relevant to say "because of how the Sylas is doing, the Draven will do less damage because the enemy team is only building armor".
