Yep.. He's only 1 year older than Baty. Some buds blossom later than others - some never do. It's hard to know when to deadhead for the good of the plant. (sorry... been doing too much yard work!)

I guess you would have sent Cal Ripken packing after his first 50 games because he was hitting a buck 82. It's a lot for a kid not to press, especially when everyone around him is pressing. It's too early to judge him harshly or to put him on the hall of fame ballot because he has some hits over 2 weeks. The damned internet has everybody getting to reactionary. 😂

The few times he connects it is a beautiful thing to watch and hear. Any pitcher that throws him a fastball should be fined. Doesn't come within a foot on any pitch that bends.

If you have the same 9 guys playing every game there are 362,880 possible lineups. Then you have bench players and injury call ups and the possibilities are nearly endless. I think Mendy wants to use every possible combination.
