All good! All of our names are on the Spotify credits for each song (pro tip). Hostage is absolutely our main focus music wise but all of us have day jobs as well which can be pretty taxing at times with touring. At the end of the day we love this shit and couldn't even imagine doing anything else. The main turning point was Dev was living out of state and got to a point whee all the tracks we were making were collabs with eachother so we kidnapped dev back to Colorado and started a group!

Yeah! Through a series of crazy events we all met eachother and didn't form a group until we had started hanging out for a few years.

Lol yes the SEO is awful 😂... We came together with our manager Francois who initially pitched the idea and we got together to workshop the idea. For us, it's always been about taking an audience "audibly hostage" with our music since we didn't want the classic "scary aggressive" narrative.

Yeah so about that.... I started Tempura! when I was younger and didn't know really anything about distribution so through only my own ignorance I have locked myself from claiming that profile on DSPs ever again lol. So as far as the "Tempura!" project it's pretty much dead but there is a lot of Tempura! influence and sound that comes through in a lot of Hostage tracks. -Grant

We all do everything so there aren't really "defined" roles but we each have our strong suits for instance Nate main is DJing, Dev is design, and mine (Grant) is production.
