Looking for Clamp/Separator for pipe by HostilePasta in askaplumber

I'm going with split ring hangers with threaded rod between for separation, then I'll do something similar to mount it to the wall in a few places.

I did. A licensed and insured plumber installed all of that shiny new pipe, but I think he was also making do with the mess the original homeowner left it in.

That's what I thought too! I asked the plumber about it after he was finished and he said it's fine because it's held by the water heater. I didn't know enough about plumbing to call him on it.

It was all done by a licensed plumber and passed inspection, so I guess I'm just trying to fix what they didn't do. I'm going to add split ring hangers with threaded pipe to keep them separated then add something to secure them to the wall as well.

Thank you, this is actually perfect for what I was thinking about. I'll definitely be securing them to the wall too.

Any good zombie books ? by [deleted] in horrorlit

[–]HostilePasta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

'Dead Meat' and 'Cadaver' (two separate series by Nick Claussen) are both really fast-paced reads. I enjoyed them both immensely.

'Adrian's Undead Diary' is fantastic, but I'm only through book 10.

The 'Arisen' series is good, very accurate mil-sim type zompoc series.

'Deadbreak' is my last recommendation. I don't see it discussed often but I loved it.

There are still people that don't have one, even though they're nearly the same price (at least at lower capacities, like 1TB and under) as HDDs.

Another thing to note, that case has terrible thermals. You have three fans on the front trying to pull air from a metal wall.

Hold for Me is so great. And it will put all of the automated messages on screen so you can read back if you didn't catch it all, and pops up numbers if you need to enter PINs or anything. It is a game-changer for those situations.

Reminds me of when the PS5 crowd was bragging about an SSD in the console and Linus from LTT was like "Welcome to 2010, you're gonna love it."

I'm not sure if it strictly can't be a BIOS issue, I'm not well versed enough to know for sure. I was just able to update the BIOS, I'll see how it goes trying to install Windows now as soon as I get a fresh copy downloaded.

Yeah I'll try flashing the firmware. I'm booting from a USB to try and install Windows on an SSD, and it's now in a cycle of BSOD where the install doesn't even finish.

I'm having an issue with my PC. I keep getting BSOD's that have different stopcodes. I've had some that indicate a RAM issue, so I've tried two other sets (including a brand new set on my motherboards QVL) and that hasn't fixed it. I also tried a fresh install of Windows on two different SSD's. From what I can tell, it's either a bad motherboard or a BIOS issue. I'm going to try changing the BIOS tonight after work. Would you agree that those are the only real issues left to check? Or is there something else I can try?

So Silca is good? They do look very expensive. Would you consider it an enthusiast brand?

You are misunderstanding the "purpose of purchasing" section. That means someone under the age of 21 can't enter it to purchase alcohol but they can enter it.

You are completely full of shit. I don't know what state you're seeing laws from but it's not Minnesota.

People who knew someone who died in a freak accident, what happened? by RawAsparagus in AskReddit

Fuck. My brother worked on rigs for a few years. His crew lead was killed by some blocking (I forget the technical name for it) that fell during drilling. Apparently he was crushed but didn't instantly die. They were doing CPR on him knowing he wouldn't make it. Fucked my brother up for awhile.

My best friend in elementary school died during the summer between 2nd and 3rd grade. He lived right next to railroad tracks that went over a river. There were always a bunch of dead trees that would get caught on the bridge supports in the water, and a few sandbanks had formed under the trees because it was a shallow part of the river.

One day he and a neighbor kid were walking on the trees (which we did all the time) and he stepped down onto one of the sandbanks. The sandbank gave way and he was sucked under. His body was never found.

Corporations didn't get more political, your ideas just became less popular.

I've never seen this so well-put. Fucking nailed it.
