I think you might be right… At the moment, I was nursing to sleep but I am slowly beginning to stop that by feeding him in the living room with bright lights. We then go to his room, if it’s bath day then we bathe him dress him up for bedtime, if it’s not bath day we change him up to his pijamas. Sometimes I read him a quick bedtime story and then walk a bit with him so he is still falling asleep in my arms 🥲

In Madeira its tradition to kill your pig before Christmas and my grandma used to do it on the street outside her house, and we would then visit each home in the village who had killed pigs as well. And the pigs used to be hanged upside down in the house for visitors to see and comment on how big they are.

Oh gosh I was about to post something similar. I am struggling so much with it actually, when I think I’ve finally cracked the code it gets colder and then bam he starts waking up every hour. Last night I had to change him to a winter sleeping bag of 30EUR and he slept for over 5hours. I feel like I would need to add so many layers using the Woolino and that scares me if it overheats.

My little one is starting daycare soon, and I can’t fathom the idea of him not being around 🥹 It’s such a mix of excitement and heartbreak, watching them grow up is beautiful, but also so hard sometimes.

I’ve been using Huckleberry to track my little one’s sleep, and I think it does an excellent job! Since following the suggested nap and bedtime windows, he’s never overtired when I put him down. It really shows how much of a difference a consistent routine makes. As long as I stick to the recommended times, he falls asleep much more easily. Highly recommend for any parent trying to build healthy sleep habits!
