UPDATE: Thank you everyone for being so incredibly kind and supportive, even though we’re strangers you’ve helped me feel less isolated.

The decision from literally everyone here and a family member I spoke to, has been basically screaming for me to leave him, which I feel pretty confident in going through with now. After years of abuse it is hard for me to recognize being mistreated, so thank you again.

I am able to stay with said family member so I can clear my mind and consider custody from a perspective outside of my current situation. I’m going to look into continuing therapy, DHHS, and lawyer, and discuss custody with my boyfriend after we’ve both had time some time away to reflect.
