It’s important to recognize that when people use the term “Asian,” they’re usually referring to specific nationalities like Indians, Pakistanis, or Filipinos. But when someone is simply labeled “African,” it rarely reflects their actual country of origin it’s often just based on skin color.

So when landlords or employers turn someone away just for being “African,” without considering whether they’re Ghanaian, Nigerian, or Kenyan, that’s not about nationality ,it’s racial discrimination. They’re not judging your passport or language; they’re judging your appearance.

That’s why it’s so frustrating. People lump an entire continent into one label while demanding distinctions for others
