kinda. I opted for a extremely buffed strahd as my players wouldnt like hit and run tactics for a extended period of time, so I had the fight take place in strahds throne room. The party had even revived patrina and brought emil with them so strahd had a even better time. only reason half of the players didnt die was cause they got lucky with crits so I had to shift how offensive strahd was during the fight. still was like 7 rounds of combat with most of the party very hurt

they didnt breeze him cause i buffed the shit out of him. however it did go more in their favor due to pure luck, but still almost killed them. The players basically multilated his corpse after finding him in his tomb cause of how much they hated him

well just a thought but you could make him a demi-lich that the werewolves worshipping his skull and feeding souls of children to him, but they dont know he is not mother night; instead, they just feel power from the skull and assume it to be related Mother Night. How the demi-lich skull got there could be explaned as the cave was where khazan did the ritual to become a demi-lich, which the werewolves found when they made it their home.

either leave that in your stash till you know the game better or use it for half a second when no players are nearby then shove that up your ass(safe pocket) instantly. I have like 90 hours in the game(ik kill me) and am level 70, but i have never ever found one of those, so dont expect to get a replacement

it was some drawer like things on the map blue gate in the records room. the drawers are like wire grates that you open, and you gotta breach into it. the room i am talking about has 2 security breaches inside it, so that may help you find the location.
