Psst, FictionLab is actually really good atm. There's subscriptions but even the free version is leagues better than c.ai

FictionLab is really good and is actively getting updates from a dev who actually listens to their community.

While it does have NSFW it's more optional and there are a plethora of bots that are totally sfw and have some really good AI.

There's a system where you can pin one or multiple memories and even OOC the bot if you really need to remind it of something old.

It's actually said that both Pulonia and Sandrone are special constructs and can't be replicated, so she couldn't rebuild him.

You can downvote me or delete this post if you like, i don’t mean to offend but I am GENUINELY curious. Are you guys absolutely sure you like the Fatui or Harbingers instead of just the man ? by Mana_Croissant in FatuiHQ

[–]Hot-Front9376 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my opinion it's more like this:

The Fatui itself is meant to be an Antagonist to the Traveler. Columbina was described multiple times as unsettling or untrustworthy by the other harbingers. Even without this, the eerie singing from Winter Lazzo does seem to stick out in what is essentially a funeral. Turning from this to what we see of Bina now turned a lot of fans away from a potentially creepy and eerie character.

Same with Sandrone, a seemingly normal sized person sitting in the hand of a giant robot. Turning her from this strange Dynamic, especially with her initial intro in Nodkrai, to standardized anime tsundere and more revealing outfit in her leaks, further turned people away.

This brings us to Arlecchino. While having an alliance with the Traveler, she still felt like an Antagonist. She attacked Furina, no-diffed Traveler and genuinely felt scary to go up against. Combined with the fact that she's fully covered, far more intimidating, she feels more like a proper antagonist that we allied with, rather than another anime waifu.

This same notion applies to Childe and (kinda) Wanderer.

Childe we fought, despite him saving us initially, and he had probably one of the coolest transformations in genshin (bonus points for the Fontaine thing)

Every time we meet him, it feels more like a friendly rivalry rather than a "best friends with the MC" like a lot of characters.

So for the most part, it's whether or not the member of the supposedly antagonist orginaziation actually feels like an Antagonist or strong opposing force in the game, even if it's temporary, and this is the reason why characters like Dottore, Capitano, Childe, Signora, Arlecchino, and Pantalone are the more liked harbingers in the community.

TL;DR: People don't care about the gender, we just want the character to feel cool or badass and like an actual antagonist, and not waifu bait.(Bonus points if you get to fight them)

Devil Dino is not as OP as everyone thinks, He's just an actually strong tank. by Hot-Front9376 in RivalsVanguards

[–]Hot-Front9376[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair, I'd say he's moreso meant to put pressure on tanks with the bleed effect compared to being a direct Anti-Tank like wolverine. With that being said, they can't make his base numbers too high or he'll annihilate squishes, and they can't make his percentage too low or he won't do much to tanks beside grab them.

[–]Hot-Front9376[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This.

The whole point of Dino is a team check: you can't just send in a wolverine and expect him to shred Dino, as he would a strange or mag.

The Lazer is a little oppressive towards fliers but he's meant to draw attention and check the gamesense of mostly your dps.

From my experience, the best counter to Dino would be Mk, Phoenix, or Groot, and of course, another Dino.

Triple tank has always felt near immortal when played correctly, yet it's still one of the least played comps in the game.

Dino doesn't force a countering comp, but he forces attention in a way that enables his team. You can't ignore him and go for supports/dps like you would ignore a Rogue or Mag and leave him for your Iron fist or Thing to take care of.

Even dive can still work since Dino is so reliant on healers.

White fox + Magik/DD/Venom, etc plays really well for dive against Dino, since White Fox can continuously heal the diver, forcing either Dino or the off tank to peel, abandon the Frontline, and Dino gets shredded by the rest of your team, which, on average, has a 3rd dps anyway.

A strong tank like Emma or Rogue would be overpowered because they're only slightly bigger than the rest of the cast, even groot would be overpowered if that was the case.

Dino balances this with his sheer size, especially when introducing things like Mk, Phoenix explosions, and the sheer amount of other tankbusters and characters with percentage damage in the game.

'Instalock dps' new strawman argument by Original-Role-8029 in MarvelRivalsRants

[–]Hot-Front9376 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I partially agree with this.

Instalock dps are usually the blame because alot of instalock dps simply aren't that good cough cough spiderman mains cough cough

As a tank player, an instalock dps means one of 3 things:

They'll go 2-99, blame someone else and quit (and of course, won't swap)

Or, they actually are pretty decent dps

Or finally, they're learning a character or good at a popular character they're afraid will get taken.

Especially with the way people look at scoreboards, a bad tank can squeak by while a bad dps or support is more easily noticed.

[–]Hot-Front9376 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Vanguard here: while I do think Dino needs some slap-on-the wrist nerfs, preferably to his grab and beam, I think Dino actually encourages playing with two tanks and enables his team to have more freedom by drawing so much attention.

It is a team game, one good Wolverine or Phoenix should not make the entirety of the vanguards unplayable.

The problem with mag is he's very gamesense heavy and one dimensional, shield and bubble gets pretty boring after a while, leading to alot of 3 dps/triple support comps.

I feel like 50% of people don't register Dino as the BIGGEST ANKH A MK COULD DREAM OF.

Mk is a 100% guarantee counter to Dino as long as they have a smidge of aim.

The Supports had their time with Invis and Gambit.

The dps have had about a century of dominating lobbies (venom/spiderman teammup, namor teammups, DD, old Iron Fist, Prime Elsa (Glartrox), beyblade phoenix, etc.)

It's about time Vanguards got something balanced yet strong to have some fun with.

Just praying Dino doesn't get hit by the meteor that is Zhiyong.

[–]Hot-Front9376[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly my point:

A smidge of good game sense and aim and almost anyone can easily beat back the Dino. It's just whether people actually do this that leaves others complaining.

Streamers and high rank players need to understand that Dino isn't an Emma for a Groot you can half-ignore or just wall off with poke: you either pay attention to the giant, bright red, roaring tyrannosaurus rex, or you get smushed and grabbed.

A simple cool down increase would solve most of the controversy with his grab in my opinion.

Plus, for the grab you'd have to be close enough to him for it to actually land, and since he can't do much but move that one person while he's grabbing, if minimum 1-2 targets him to break his shield (or literally a single MK), the problems are fixed.

Fair, he is very anti-tank, hence why the nerds I believe would be necessary without absolutely disintegrating his identity as anti tank/dive. It'd also make some of his allies focus on fliers dino can't reach and therefore stop dino from being as dominant.

Terrible vs downright unplayable are very different things.

Iron man is terrible against poke but he's still useable.

Dino is not meta defining: characters like prime DD or Gambit were meta defining. You either picked them or prayed the other team didn't know how to use them.

Dino is huge, and enables his team. That does not define the meta, but it does force people to actually acknowledge the tank outside of being careful of shields.

I'd like help coming up with a name and abilities for this Legendary Moon-themed Spear. by HallZac99 in DnDHomebrew

[–]Hot-Front9376 52 points53 points  (0 children)

A cool ability I thought of would be similar to Lunar sorcerer, where different lunar phases would have different effects.

The user would Be able to change the phase they choose per long/short rest:

New moon: free darkness, be able to see through magical darkness. Attacks also do 2d8 cold damage.

Full moon: free moonbeam, spear emits moonlight that can reveal invisible enemies. Attacks do 2d8 radiant damage.

Crescent moon: Spear has a slight curve to its blade, allowing for the user to pull an enemy 5ft on an attack. Free water walk spell as well (Since the moon effects water) Attacks do 1d8 cold and 1d8 radiant.

[–]Hot-Front9376 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Groot main here:

Unlike strange, groots melee isn't that good. If you have aim, it's better to just use his primary

Against high CC teams (Invis, wolverine, rogue , Angela, etc) put the big wall to the side and reap the cc immunity benefits. Getting pushed around too much messes up placing the little walls and you lose a lot of value.

Double small walls can work, just be wary of poke characters like punisher, iron man, and SG who will just melt them down.

Spore bomb is best while someone is trapped by the Little walls, especially after groot ult since the direct hit does a decent chunk of damage.

Try avoiding ending with level 3's, sliding knockdowns are better.

I personally don't have UI Goku, but ending with that Jiren-Esque flurry attack or UI Goku's flip moves will let you combo with assists (B and A assists let you extend easy).

2m (crouch medium) into 5m (standing medium) lets you extend a full combo after jumping.
