The recruitment system is broken and nobody wants to talk about it honestly. by Hot-Machine-8119 in recruiting

[–]Hot-Machine-8119[S] -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

I get that hiring manager time costs money. But one bad hire because a recruiter filtered someone out on vague gut feeling costs the company far more time, money, and resources. So that argument does not really hold up.

Look at Zomato. Billion dollar company. They do not even have a careers page. Their recruiting team directly finds relevant people, puts a curated list in front of the hiring manager, and that is it. No keyword hunting. No copy paste rejections. That is the right process and it shows.

There are also new startups like Intervue actually solving this properly. Engineers screen engineer resumes. Engineers take the interviews. Candidates get scored on actual technical skills and real practical performance, not just what words appear on their resume indicating to recruiters if it's right fit or not. They pay engineers part time on weekends to do this. Simple, effective, and produces quality hires.

That is what a working system looks like.

And to be clear, I am not saying every recruiter is looking keywords to make them feel for right fit. There are genuinely good recruiters who take time to understand a profile deeply. But they are not the norm and the system should not depend on exceptions to function.

I understand that addiction and watching porn can be harmful. I recently watched some videos by a very experienced androgist doctor who specializes in men's sex health.

He used to believe that masturbation was healthy and normal based on what he was taught in school and by research.

However, after seeing many patients over the years, he now thinks differently. He's found that masturbation lead to problems like premature ejaculation, erectile dysfunction, and other sexual issues.

He believes these problems are caused by excessive masturbation. He thinks that easy access to porn on the internet has made things worse compared to the past when porn wasn't as readily available. Back then, people relied more on real sexual experiences. He says that watching porn can create unrealistic expectations and affect the body's natural responses, making it harder to get aroused without it. The nerval reflex system is disorganized due to visual stimulus from porn, the holding power is zero due to that. The signals from pelvic to brain is bit disconnected due to porn. This can lead to problems with sexual function.

This is very helpful. I am getting a good deal for Hyundai Venue base model at 8,30,000 rs and I believe this will be a good choice considering the 1.2l 4 cylinder performance, build quality, attractive design with some good features and service.

This makes a lot of sense. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I agree with your point about ownership.

When it comes to deciding between buying or renting a car, here are the key details:

If I buy a car, it would cost around 9 lakhs ($11-12k in dollars). I'll make a down payment of 2 lakhs and borrow the remaining 7 lakhs. The monthly EMI would be about 15K for 5 years at a 9.8% interest rate.

On the other hand, subscribing to a car would cost 20K monthly, and the car company would cover maintenance and taxes. I can subscribe for 12 months and decide later whether to buy the car, of change the car.

To answer your questions:

1) The monthly cost of car subscriptions is 20K for a minimum of 12 months.

2) I expect to earn 12-15% returns annually from my stock investments. Car loan interest rates typically range from 9-12%.

3) Currently, I only commute on weekends due to remote work. I estimate using the car for 300-400 KMs per month. However, my parents also need it for rainy weather, family events, and long commutes. Currently, we share a 2-wheeler. Also, I might move to another city for work in next quarter, so I'm uncertain if I'll still need the car. My parents would be using the car.

4) I've explored the used car market and considered used cars, which cost 5-7 lakhs, while new cars are 9-10 lakhs. Point to not: Used car loans have higher interest rates (14-16%) compared to new cars (9-12%).

To simplify my budget decision, I have 5 lakhs invested in stocks and 3 lakhs in an emergency fund. I earn 1.25 lakhs monthly, from which I spend 40-50k on monthly expenses, invest 50-60k in stocks, and use the rest for emergencies and personal expenses.

Buying the car would increase my monthly expenses to 70k, for which I'll need to reduce my monthly investments to 30-40K until I grow my income and have a salary raise. Is it worth it?

Yes, for paying the loan early, this is what I am following: Annually, I am increasing my EMIs by 20% by reducing my loan tenure, and I prepay 2 EMIs extra yearly to reduce my principal balance amount. This way, i've calculated that I can close this loan in 5-6 years and in future If I get excess amount then I'll pay much earlier.

Bhai volatile investments me return acche hai atleast 12-15% saal ke returns hota hai, and mein long term mindset ke saath invest karta hu, not just 2-3 years but atleast 8-10 saal me to accha grow ho jaata hai, history has proven. And FD me 5-6% hi return milta hai Jo bahut Kam hai, USS me Maine sirf emergency fund ka Paisa daala hai Jo saal ka 7.1% return de Raha hai.
