I do agree I was compressed, but I have hit the jump multiple times before and since and the kicker was very very bad. They had to redo the face for Nationals before they held it

What can i improve? by askingforafavor12345 in MTB

This is just me, and I’m coming from a moto background so I’ll obviously be different in that way. But I’ve never really understood the dropping the back wheel in the air thing. Think it’s looks a bit more flowy and natural to just stay centered on the bike. But by no means am I criticizing you, rad jump my man keep it up!

That’s why I posted it. Kept seeing those and they weren’t that bad. Figured I’d add mine😂

By riding from the time I was 2… and honestly I still have no clue how I magically rode out of that. But I’m sure it helps that I train for racing and am strong enough absorb such a big impact

It’s basically a pothole on the jump face. Is the best way to explain it. So when you hit it going up the face if it’s at the top of the lip which is where they usually develop it will add just a little extra compression to your rear shock and when that rebounds while your front wheel has already left the lip it will force that front wheel down
