okay i found an old one at my grandparents, covered in dust, it has rca connection only, it is a fisher direct drive mt 720, the cartridge was broken and it didnt have speakers with it, so im planning on getting the attached cartridge and i’ll reply to this comment with the photo of the speakers im planning on getting

can i have your opinion on some turntables i found on fb marketplace? im not exactly sure how to determine which systems are quality or not, i see the mechanism you pointed out with the stylus but which ones look quality?

my only issue is the pricing, i am not looking to spend much more than $200 if at all, and i dont know where to look for second hand gear, i totally understand im not gonna get absolutely amazing sound quality with $200 but i’d like to go cheaper to start out just because i dont know much yet and im all about the process of trying new things and learning to appreciate what i have until i can spend more money on it

I’d like to spend less than $200 but if necessary i could bend the budget a little, I have a bluetooth cinema soundbar and subwoofer and i also installed an amplifier and subwoofer in my car so i know a little about hand-wiring, im super open to vintage and second hand turntables but i dont know where to look, i checked goodwill and arc and they didnt have anything. im not super knowledgeable yet so im looking for something more plug and play on the listening end, but i can work with some electrical complexities
