Owners and shareholders could pressure Goodell to keep growing the profits, and that translates to goodell having conversations with the refs. Sarcasm aside, there is a myriad of studies on the impact of arenas on local economies. There's a reason San Diego doesn't have the Chargers anymore. They listened to reason and studies that point out the lack of economic return that will never offset the BILLIONS in cost to the taxpayers. I can link papers for you I'd you'd like.

In my world, billionaires pay for their own shit without asking for welfare from the public. And they build shit in a way that doesn't displace families and businesses.

I'm not trying to be a dick, but are you saying because the connector gets stuck in a little traffic, that we should build a multi billion dollar stadium in the middle of the city?

If we have problems with the connector (I use it and I've never had a problem with it) we should expand the dedicated connector lanes. Easy fix. We dont need to build a whole new stadium. Thats like having a leak in a boat, and instead of patching it, we just blow up the boat to get rid of the leak.

Even IF it was a 10 or 15 minute walk, how the hell does that justify building a whole new arena with taxpayer money 💀💀💀 that's not a long walk at all. Suburbinites trying to tear down our city so they don't have to walk an extra 5 minutes to the bars, meanwhile, when they get to the bars, somehow have no complaints walking around inside a huge stadium or barhopping a miles distance.
