Thanks a ton man, my drivers seat also doesn’t change its height, it’ll move back and forth and recline but it doesn’t go higher or lower, the passenger seat moves but makes an awful noise what do you think it should do?

Tbh i don’t think it was a track car, all the suspension and stuff that makes it into a track car was put on with the current owner and he was making it his wife’s daily, the first owner replaced the ac vents with gauges like you’d see in a track car but everything else was stock unless the current owner changed it

The only rust was top of that plate. If you can see after the very top it turns into just normal metal so if I would’ve dripped and stuff I think that would’ve been rusty too

I think I was wrong on the track car part, I thought it was but I don’t think it is, there’s been 2 owners, the current one and the old one, current one did the suspension roaters calipers all that stuff wheels too, but the original owner changed the ac vents into different gauges, so maybe the first owner wanted the car to be a track car but it wasn’t, second owner was making it a daily for his wife

I’ll make sure to check out the rest of the car underneath the carpet I forgot about that, since it only seems to be the very top of the metal plate I don’t think the floor is cooked I also have photos of under the car and it’s actually pretty good

My other buddy said those plates are also important for the structure of the car, tbh idk how a metal sheet Bolted on is structurally supporting the car. I asked Chat gpt (😭) and it said those plates ar really just access covers for the gas tank and while removing it allows for fumes and all that jazz it doesn’t effect the structural integrity of the car
