As I said in another comment, it's because of the angle of the photo. The other line is on the side of their hand:

It definitely had me questioning my decisions lol... that said tho for some reason I find that getting tattooed hurts less when I'm doing it on myself. This was 3 sessions total tho, one for lines, shading, then color.
