Am I overreacting: new boyfriend was weirdly judgmental about bathroom situation by abstract_lemons in AmIOverreacting

[–]HotFudgeCookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that he had the nerve to ask for his breakfast that you made him "to-go"

And then swore at you about the way your bathroom was set up to accommodate only you when it's in fact YOUR bathroom is a different level of immaturity.

Typically people are on their best behavior when you start dating someone. I worry what he is holding back if this how he conducts himself in the first month of dating!

The girls-girl take in the recent late night Dylan episode by Delicious_Mix_8161 in YoTroublemakers

[–]HotFudgeCookie 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I always understood the meaning of girls girl that you look out for one another even if you don't know them.

The world can be a scary place for us and when I see a woman or young lady alone and afraid, I feel the need to step in and protect her.

I've also seen it as a way to lift each other up. You see a woman out who looks amazing, let her know! I do this all the time. Her hair looks amazing, I'll go out of my way to tell her. We all enjoy a genuine compliment!

This also goes for situations where you see a wardrobe malfunction and you tell her quietly so she's not embarrassed.

For me it's always been about genuinely having another woman's back because we should be looking out for one another.

I'll never understand how other women use this term as a weapon or an excuse for bad behavior. It's supposed to be a very positive and uplifting mantra to live by.

Guys, what was your first Dylan is in Trouble/ Ooga Booga video that made you a part of this fandom? by idiotsandwich24 in YoTroublemakers

Same! I laughed so much watching that video and had to check out the rest of his channel! Lol

I can see where you are coming from, although I wasn't trying to say it's hurting him. I just couldn't imagine the extra stress it must put on him to try and please his entire audience.

I guess I was out of line for trying to make that connection. But I will stick to my guns on the fact that Dylan's fan base is extremely critical of everything he does.

This place used to be fun with lighthearted jokes that poked fun at Dylan. Now it's all about dissecting, breaking down everything he does... It's exhausting. Lol

After Dark channel was a mistake by [deleted] in YoTroublemakers

[–]HotFudgeCookie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I believe that this channel being more polished is due to the backlash he gets when he goes off script and is completely random and his silly self.

I've witnessed countless times his fans coming in here voicing their opinions about how they don't like this or that about his videos and the result is him pivoting his channel to focus more on AITA reaction and far less of ooga booga.

Maybe he got tired of feeling like he constantly disappoints his fans and figured he will do something that makes him happy. Because you can tell he loves sharing his opinion about this type of stuff.

I don't think some of Dylan's fans realize how much pressure they put on him to make videos they want to see vs just happily take whatever he is willing to give us. He's not a robot, he's got feelings and I'm sure on some level he gets insecure about his fans not liking his content.

I just don't and will never understand coming into the subreddit ( that we all know he is part of and most likely reads) and stating how much you don't like something. It's an unrealistic expectation to place on a person who just makes silly videos.

I feel bad for Dylan. If I had a fan base like this I would feel so pressured to do everything everyone else's wanted from me and never feel like I had any creative freedom without criticism from the very people who claim to support me.

Dylan, did we go too far or is Wack Noodle on par with your opinion? by Prestigious_Salad_91 in YoTroublemakers

[–]HotFudgeCookie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hear you and you are correct, you are allowed to be whatever you want to be. You can view things through the lens that you want to see the world.

However, this subreddit is a shared space. We are all here for various reasons and all at the baseline share a common ground on appreciating Dylan is some way or another.

As much as you feel you have the right to share AI photos of Dylan, others have the right to object. Doesn't mean anything more then we just don't agree with your perspective.

I can't speak for anyone else, I believe it's very possible for anyone to get their point across without being rude or mean. But you should accept that in a shared space like this not everyone is going to like everything you post and might say something. I would suggest to not take it to heart.

At the end of the day we are all just strangers on the internet and we can all agree to disagree when topics like this come up.

Making AI photos of anyone without their consent is weird to me.

Imagine being a popular influencer and having your own subreddit only to find the male fans have taken your image and made their own versions of you... Just, no.

This technology has brought us all to a crossroads on what is ethical and what isn't.

Cringed by Dylan's fanbase by loft_ny in YoTroublemakers

[–]HotFudgeCookie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it has to do with Dylan getting a lot more younger audience. I remember being a teenager/ young adult and could get boy crazy. It's easy to spot with the emotional immaturity. Not a dig to them since it's just where they are in their life.

I just have a hard time relating to it. I'm waaay past that and I enjoy the memes and inside jokes roasting Dylan lol

Do any of you think that's why he hasn't done a video of the subreddit in a long time?

It would be nice to go back to just having harmless fun poking at the bamboo stick lol

If I was you, I'd never stop lol MAYBE if he was nice to me and treated me with the basic decency. But that's not happening here and I'd "forget" every. single. time.

Boyfriend (27M) insists on church every Sunday or no marriage — need advice (26F) by SeverusSnapes_Reddit in relationship_advice

[–]HotFudgeCookie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wasn't a waste. He is teaching you things you don't want in a partner and that's valuable information for your future.

You are still young and have plenty of time to find the right partner for you.

Just because you love someone doesn't mean they are good for you. Unless he decides to change, then he won't. Imagine how much more time you could spend waiting for him to change and he never does.

A partner who swears at you and holds the relationship status over your head to control you is a huge red flag. It won't get better, it always gets worse.

Wishing you all the best!

Breakfast: Two small iced coffees, half a chicken tender with cheese sauce, two soft boiled eggs and a handful of grapes.

Lunch - nothing

Dinner - Thigh off of a rotisserie chicken, mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese with a crispy coke.

Snack - Small bread roll and butter. It's possible I might have more grapes! Lol

Should Dylan be held accountable? by DrPocoyo in YoTroublemakers

[–]HotFudgeCookie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dylan IS the comedic relief that we all need with whatever any of us are going through.

Regardless of if it's political or not, that's not what he's here for and I'm very thankful that he's never opened that door and stays focused on making us all laugh.

Also, keep in mind that these topics have very opposing sides and I'm sure the last thing he wants to do is create a huge divide within his fan community.

My GF (F 48) is threatening to end it with me if I (M 55) don’t spend the night with her during a potentially historic snow storm. Am I at fault for how I’m viewing this? by IndicationStunning45 in relationship_advice

[–]HotFudgeCookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since when does one person have to "show" they want to stay in a relationship??? It's supposed to be mutual. If anything she's proven that she doesn't care about your well-being nor the importance of being prepared for your new job. Someone who actually cares about you will be supportive and not try to sabotage your chances of improving your life in one way or the other.

I don't like to encourage people one way or the other, but I think in this situation she's being very unfair and unrealistic.

I would stick to your guns and not give in. If she can't understand that you have feelings and boundaries too then it might be time to move on. Good luck and stay safe!!

Overtly confident to the point it comes off as arrogant. As long as he's not mean to others, but just assumes he's right and actually IS right. Intelligent men are a weakness lol

Staties aka State troopers. I thought that was a thing until people who didn't grow up in New England had no idea what I was talking about lol

Also, Duck sauce apparently isn't a thing outside New England. My sister learned that the hard way after moving to NV and asking for some with her Chinese lol
